Jane going back into a pop direction with her aesthetics from Census Designated works to a remarkable degree. That drill beat with the post-rock/shoegaze chords in the back scratched my brain in all the right ways. Dream Sequence, to me, feels like a true fan-service song. It give off a perfect mix of Frailty and Census Designated which is something I would love to see more of. She really is the goat.
The Death of Slim Shady is an interesting concept that fell short on its execution.
To sum it up, Eminem is back in his Slim Shady character with the goal of being as controversial as possible. I would love to do an in-depth review of this album. For now though, I'll talk about it briefly. I love how this is a Black Metal album yet the bright pink album cover matches the sound so well.
