An absolute triumph in production, accompanied by very personal and introspective lyrics.
There are surprises all the way through and the pacing is great. Labeling this as anything more specific than electronic music feels wrong because this album stretches itself across the electronic genre giving us a unique experience. You can feel this not only throughout the entirety of the album but even within most of the tracks.
As far as production goes I particularly enjoyed the stretch from Drums ... read more
Drum n bass electronic guitar sound. It doesn't overstay its welcome and has some cool ideas. Solid stuff. Everyone should listen to 'Umri' at least once.
So I'll just preface this by saying that this was super hyped up to me for years and so I finally sat down and listened to it with high expectations. There are really cool sounds on this project. I love the opening track, it pulled me into the experience really well. The thing is, after that i feel like the vocal style gets really old really quick. I feel like the singer has two modes, regular and louder. Also I don't get why put the static noise in the background on the second track. It just ... read more

I don't know what they are thinking but I will not be excited for the next Imagine Dragons album.
Ohhhh maaaan, this was so good musicianship wise. It's a super intricate metalcore. The problem that I personally have with this album is that I don't like this type of vocals. Standout tracks for me were Old Data in a Dead Machine, Doomtech and End Eternal, with Doomtech probably being the most intricate piece on this record. The guitar sections of ... read more
This is my first review on this site, so here we go... If you liked their previous work, you are going to love this one. Even though it has way more melodic feel to it, it still sounds like Architects and I, personally love that they are going into a different direction. And yes, this is metalcore, so if you don't have experience with metalcore the songs may sound very similar. This album is definitely a grower, try listening to it a couple of times. The best moment on the album is hard to ... read more
