Crybaby might be album of the year if the rest of the songs are on the same level as this & Blackberry Marmalade
He really knows how to get you in the christmas spirit.
Actual (though biased) review of this. Just like the original "A Very 1999 Christmas" he released around this same time in 2024, the deluxe feels just like an old school christmas song collection from the time of your Frank Sinatar's and Bing Crosbys.
Obviously all the songs on the album are covers of famous old christmas songs (which kinda helps reinforce that old christmas song feeling), but Schlatt's voice feels ... read more
"5 Nights at Tyler's"
I mean "Mother" is a good song, but I don't get why he had to do a deluxe version / reissue, for one singular song.
Also the cover looks sick, but I still can't get over the fact it also kinda looks like some Tyler, The Creator creepy pasta
I’ve been anticipating this album since I first listened to their EP, and while it’s not exactly what I hoped for, it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Just like on “kimi wo omotte iru”, their lead singers vocals are fucking amazing, her voice sounds light and sweet, and works perfectly with all the instrumentation. Same with all the other band members' performance, great guitar, and the drummer is absolutely amazing.
Despite how much I enjoyed this album, ... read more
There has to be something in the water of Japan that makes them reeeeally good at making shoegaze.
With kurayamisaka dropping their first album in like 2 days, I thought I might as well write a review for one of my favorite EP’s.
Like most international music, unless you understand the language, “kimi wo omotte iru” is one of those EP’s that you have to go purely of vibes when you’re listening to it. I mean don’t have a single clue what they’re ... read more
“This shit’s preem, choom” 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If you told me a few months ago that MC Virgins of all people would drop a banger summer album in 2025, I wouldn’t believe you.
“After The Party” has great production, it’s bouncy and makes it an album you wanna throw on for a hot summer drive. Especially with songs like “HML”, “Not Your Role Model” & “YK?”, like that shit had me bumping my head while listening ... read more
Easily one of the jazziest rap albums to ever be made.
I listened to McKinley Dixon’s previous album “Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!?” only a little over a week before he dropped this one, and when I first heard “Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!?” I really thought that he’d never make something better, and that it’d be his best album. But boy was I wrong.
“Magic, Alive!”’s high’s aren’t (in my opinion) as high as “Beloved! ... read more
Still can’t believe I found this album through TikTok.
Egotrip is one of those albums that can literally start off a full career in music, and I think that’s exactly what it’s going to do.
It’s bombastic and arrogant as fuck, in just the same way MBDTF is. Despite the fact neither John michel nor Anthony James being anywhere close to the level of fame Kanye had at the point of the album.
And the highpoints are higher than high, and the lows aren’t even ... read more
Oh damn this is good. I used to listen to these guys so much in 2021-2022, so this is a bit of a throwback.
It's kinda funny, cause I unironically think it was MC Virgins & bbno$ that actually got me into rap 😠(somehow)
85 --> 90 --> 85 --> 90
i think I like rage music now
Honestly, I'm not the biggest fan of Jane Remover. I did enjoy “Frailty” but it was honestly a bit too much for me. I can’t speak for “Census Designated” (because I haven’t listened to it). But this feels like a completely different direction compared to what we’ve heard from her before.
It still has Jane’s signature glitchy sound, but it’s a completely different vibe. ... read more
I actually thought he was gonna drop Vanisher today, but this is so good that I can't even be mad.
Honestly, who is this "ye" guy, and why does he keep saying the worst things you can think of, then putting it on Kanye's twitter, and also dropping shitty music under his name.
(overused joke but whatever)
The production is actually kinda good at points, and i hate that cause I don't wanna like anything that he drops anymore. But luckily everything else sucks, and like all the vocals are just ai (now we're just missing alvin and the holigans and we got vultures 3, ... read more
Holy shit, this might be rap album of the year. And it’s only March.
(Edit: I was wrong, there's so many amazing rap albums this year. But this is still a banger)
This is absolutely some of the tightest and most fitting production I’ve heard in so long. Like you hear the songs and you KNOW they’re from this album, even if they're not something that's out there or experimental. Even if the songs do sound fairly different from each other, they still have some ... read more
Rest In Peace Kanye West. Can't believe his label is releasing the scraps 7 years after his death 💔
On a more serious note. I fucking love kanye's music, he used to be (and I hate to say, but he still is) my favorite artist of all time. But with the things he does and says (especially what he says on twitter), It's completely impossible to support him. No matter how much I love his music, it's impossible to separate the art from the artist at this point, no matter how ... read more
Wow. Now this is how you make a posthumous album.
I’m just gonna start off this review by saying that this is the first Mac Miller album i’ve listened to, and DAMN I’ve been missing out.
Most posthumous albums nearly always seem to taint the artist's legacy, with greedy record labels trying to squeeze albums from basically nothing. But this is way different. Despite it being nearly 7 years since Mac Miller has passed, this album is fantastic. It has this really down to ... read more
The first 2 songs are way way WAY too short.
Kill Bill makes a short and chill album, with tons of nods to old school video games and anime. But he also mixes in some different and more aggressive songs, which he does to varying degrees of success.
The first 4 actual songs (not including the Interlude “WARNING”) are fucking fantastic. Especially “Polybius” & “False Swipe”. The beats are fairly reminiscent of what he used a lot on his 2014 mixtape ... read more

Daytona shows both Pusha T and Kanye at the top of their game. Pusha T’s flows are absolutely immaculate in every song, and his voice fits the beats absolutely perfectly. It’s clear he’s managed to refine his craft into creating a coke rap masterpiece. And lyrically he has a lot to say that isn't just about cocaine. And especially a lot of things to say about Drake.
The beats that Kanye made are just as amazing as Pusha’s ... read more

Geordie Greep of black midi fame releases his jazzy prog rock debut album. And it’s.. Interesting?
The production on this album is amazing, I really enjoyed it. It’s a great mix of jazz and prog-rock, with clear latin influences. Which is especially prevalent on songs like “Terra” & “Holy, Holy”. Which are both easily the highest highs of this album, both songs are absolutely ... read more
