You don’t wanna know what I woulda done if those fucking goblins ate the rainbow 😡🤬
Masayoshi Takanaka comes through with some fantastic guitar like usual, but with a more relaxed and less tropical sound compared to what I’m used to from him, but he still comes back to it every now and then (Like in “ONCE UPON A SONG”). And it works fantastically!
It’s a long album with a short story that the listener can very easily follow as you listen to the album. The ... read more
Thank god they revived Frank Sinatra and made him into famous youtuber "schlatt". This nearly made me forget what he did to my grandma in 1999.
Thank you schlingus
This album is 10 years old?!
You could have told me any date in the 2010’s and said it was released then, and I’d completely believe you.
I often like to talk about the vibes of an album or mixtape, and I think there probably isn’t a better way to describe this album than chill vibes.
The beats on this album are fucking amazing, some of the most chill and cohesive production i’ve heard on any album or mixtape for that matter.
“Ramona” has this Jazzy & ... read more
MMMUUUUUUSSTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Kendrick decided to drop an album straight out of nowhere. And while it may not be his most complex and deep album, it’s easily his most fun album. The production so fucking good, and it’s so god damn bouncy on songs like “tv off” like it’s such a vibe. “GNX” has tons of catchy lyrics along with these more bouncy west coast beats. But he’s also got some calmer and more jazzy ... read more
I haven’t listened to Freddie Dredd in like 3-4 years, but I saw this was 14m long, and thought “Why the hell not?”.
Honestly it’s really nostalgic for me to listen to Freddie Dredd again. And to my surprise I actually kinda like it. It’s the normal over the top edginess and dark music you expect from Freddie, just talking about murder and guns, with no real substance.
But the beats are honestly really good. And compared to Freddie from 4 years ago, the beats ... read more
Simple and soothing jazz? FUCK YEAH!
You know that feeling when you hear something that you’ve been wanting to hear for a while, but you just couldn’t find it? Well for me there’s a bunch of albums like that, and “Scenery” is now one of those.
It’s some amazing, mostly soft and calm, completely instrumental jazz. And It’s honestly so simple, just some piano, drums and a couple brass instruments. But if you got the skill, all you need to make an ... read more
Wow, okay.. I did not expect that at all.
Vylet Pony manages to create an amazing album with amazing guitars and meaningful lyrics. Honestly I can’t express how much I love the guitars on this album (Yes i’m going to go on a tiny tangent about electric guitars), they’re noisy and harsh and Vylet manages to perfectly use them in every song that contains one. But at the same time she doesn’t just spam them all the time, and blends them with other instruments.

Cordae sounds like if Kanye & J. Cole had a child, and had Logic as an uncle or something.
The only Cordae song I've ever listened to before this was “Doomsday” which was a banger tbh. And this album wasn’t anything like that song, but it was definitely a really nice listen.
Cordae makes a Jazzy chipmunk soul album, and he wears his influences on his sleeve. With “Nothing Promised” being a great homage to Kanye, by interpolating “Heard ‘Em ... read more
I LOVE YOUR ALBUM PLEASE DON'T BURN DOWN MY HOUSE MR. ARSONIST 😭
Before I even start the review, I have to mention the cover for this album. It uses the trope of reusing an old painting as a cover for your album, while adding something to it to make it yours. Like Westside Gunn with “Pray for Paris” & “And Then You Pray For Me”. Except Gao actually makes this cover into something completely unique, that perfectly encapsulates the whole vibe of this album. I'm not writing a review for this
Thank you @therealmrsly for recommending your album to me!
This was such a great and interesting listen for me. Luke only uses two instruments in the album, his voice, and his guitar. And he’s got a really nice voice and I loved his singing, and he’s great at playing that guitar too. "Theo" is a very calm, soft and comforting album. And honestly I kinda needed to listen to something like this today, it really helped me to calm down, during my commute home.

Chill ass fucking album, i mean look at him in the cover. He cold as hell.
Every single song on this album is such a fucking vibe. Denzel got the sound he wanted for this album down to a tee. The beats are beautiful, and Denzel flows amazingly on every single song. And his rhyming is fucking immaculate.
The album has this really smooth jazzy sound that blends seamlessly with trap elements. The album switches between the chill vibes in songs like “Walkin” & “Angelz” ... read more

I wonder what their rival, The Disease, thinks of them coming back
(this joke has probably been made thousands of times, but I couldn’t resist)
I’m not a fan of The Cure, at all. I mean I've got nothing against them, but I haven’t listened to their music. But with them dropping a new album, I thought it was a pretty good chance to see why people seem to like them so much.
For the first 3 tracks I really thought I wasn’t going to like this ... read more
Frank Sinatra’s rendition of “That’s Life” honestly might be in my top 25 songs of all time.
Frank Sinatra was one of those artists that really had a once in a lifetime kind of voice. And he used it to its fullest. Every single song in this compilation is just amazing, and it honestly kind of just feels like a whole ass album.
There’s tons of ups and downs emotionally, with happy songs, sad songs, and of course some lovey dovey songs. This is everything that I ... read more

Soft ethereal melodies mixed with noisy and rough guitars, and that makes for a surprisingly great combination.
I love hearing small artists that you can tell have a lot of potential, something that is very apparent with “A Lonely Sinner”. All of the songs have this very soft and melodic vibe to them, which most of the time goes straight into some heavy ass guitars. Especially on “Storge” like GODDAMN, those guitars are fucking amazing!

“Tana Talk 3” is an album I knew I was gonna love before I got into it. I really enjoyed both of his “The Plugs I’ve Met” eps, and I love his features. But this is a completely different sound from what I expected.
“Tana Talk 3” sounds dark and gritty most of the time, and if you told me this album was released in the 90’s, I’d probably believe you. But after “‘97 Hov” the album ... read more

Freddie fighting zombies with the power of friendship & cocaine in the cover 🙏
This is honestly not what I expected from Freddie Gibbs. I’ve only listened to “Bandana” & “Alfredo” which established how I expect a Freddie Gibbs album to sound. But this is just a completely different vibe, and I love it. I’ve been wanting more of this kinda chill jazz rap, so I'm damn glad Freddie dropped an album like this.

I’m not the biggest Westside Gunn fan in the world, but I really enjoyed “Pray For Paris” & “HWH8: Side B”. And this album is supposed to be the next in the “Praying” series of albums from Westside Gunn.
The album features DJ Drama, whom i’d say most people either love or hate (Personally I like him sometimes). But he doesn’t do much on this album at all (Like even less than usual), so I kinda forgot he was even supposed to be ... read more
Music for a warm vacation somewhere exotic. Or to get extremely confused and lost in a convenience store, it kinda sounds like both to be honest.
Pacific was the first full city pop album I decided to listen to, and it was a fantastic experience. I mean this album just oozes some happy vibes and being on a warm vacation. As I said in the first part of this review, it also feels like being mildly confused at times. Like especially for Track 1.

“Ants From Up Here” is a unique and beautiful take on the popular “British Men Being Really Sad” genre.
This album was just so beautiful, I normally don’t like singers that sound extremely british. Which was honestly why I kinda didn’t like this album upon the first real track. But goddamn he just sounds like he’s going to cry for the entire album, which makes me kinda sad too. Like please don’t start crying british boy, it’s gonna be ... read more
