this sounds absolutely NOTHING like dummy so my expectations were flipped on their head. The mysterious sudden and eerie production on this record is unique in a way that literally none of their other music has been. Portishead could come back 30 years from now completely reinvent themselves and probably still sound fresh by todays standards, while maintaining the same quality. Hell even during this record every song feels like it's finding new and innovative ways to capture the same feeling, the anxious on edge dread it makes you feel. With halloweeen coming up i really feel like this is gonna be something i have on rotation alot
