This album contains many masterpieces that would warrant a higher rating as a whole album experience if it weren’t for the blatant filler tracks that aren't necessarily bad, but hurt the overall rating, and I find myself skipping multiple tracks every listen to get to the beautiful pieces of art this album has hidden between them.
Tracks like “Sick Love”, “Goodbye Angels”, and “Dark Necessities” are amazing and capture the classic chili peppers vibe while truly showcasing the skills of Josh Klinghoffer as a guitarist. Too bad the rest of the record is painfully mediocre.
99.9% garbage for fake depressed 7th graders, only high points are the production of Jocelyn Flores and Fuck Love, the latter being the best song on the record and most of it isn’t even X.
A gripping and revolutionary record that will go down as one of, if not the best rap album ever.
After 7 years since their last record, the Strokes return with their best and most ambitious record to date, with 9 completely amazing songs that all have their own place on the record, it easily is the album of the year so far.
