Every song contributes to the album's world, painting vivid images through dreamy 80s synths and dark guitar riffs. Feels like it's made of pure magic, one of the most singular albums ever made. No other piece of music can make me feel the sheer excitement and awe as the start of Plainsong, probably my favourite album opener ever, perfectly sets the scene which the rest of the album builds from.
Have been listening to this 5+ times a day for the last couple weeks while reading and still not tired of it. That alone makes this one of the most impressive albums ever!!
Solid Earl album, his flows and lyrics are still great, but the beats on this one aren't the best (especially after listening to voir dire again)
It also starts pretty slow but the last few songs are fire. I think exhaust might be top 10 Earl.
Overall though doesnt really feel like a step forward compared to some of his best. Still good but nothing we havent heard from him before.
