The presentation of this new album's title, track list, and artwork would lead most to believe the band is heading in a darker direction. Contrary to this, Loss of Life isn't a lamentation over death but a celebration of living. This album desperately needs an minimum 80 user score. The first time I ever heard this album was 2021 and it blew my mind that it was over 10 years old. It’s aged so incredibly well. Every track is a beautifully blown out rush of adrenaline, and borders on proto-hyperpop at times (most notably Run the Heart).
