Revisiting this album, I thought I would warm up to it more than I did. Recently, there have been so many projects that I didn't like when they first came out but I've come to appreciate so much more. However, this project has remained lukewarm for me. The vocals and the lyrics are two of the greatest strengths and they are indeed great. She has an incredible voice and the lyrics are so personal and specific to her that they set her apart as an artist tremendously. I'm searching for why I've remained lukewarm on this one and I think it's the fact that the choruses don't necessarily stand out as well as the instrumental pallets not grabbing my ear. I still appreciate her as an artist tremendously and I'll be revisiting SOS next, which I liked more than this project on release.
