This is my favorite album. I'd be shocked if that opinion changes, because I can't stress enough how important To Be Kind is to me. This is the album that permanently reshaped my appreciation for music. What's funny is that prior to listening to this for the first time, I wasn't very interested in music. "After 40 years of being the band that it is, in what universe would Swans ever want to become that?"
On JonS17's review of Sprain - Privilege of Being
"Haha fair enough. I love disgusting music though, it makes me feel such a visceral reaction. Not to be pretentious, but art is best when it's provocative."
On NVNB's review of Mogwai - Young Team
"I like it too, it has very satisfying textures. I think song ratings are a bit weird for tracks like that where it's more of an obscure transitional piece, because people tend to look for fuller experiences when rating individual tracks."

On energydrill's review of Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
"Maybe listen to their older stuff and hear how it progresses up until this point. I recommend starting with Sung Tongs and listening to each release afterwards up until Merriweather. But then again, if you don't like it, you don't like it, and it's perfectly okay. Don't force yourself to enjoy something you don't."
On martinaturren's review of clipping. - There Existed an Addiction to Blood
"Haha yea Piano Burning was a big let down, but the rest of the album was great. Also I'm pretty sure the instrumental on Run For Your Life was being played through like car speakers as they drove by, which is fucking sick."
