Undeniably cute and such a delight to listen to. It takes you straight back to those cheesy and lovely childhood times where everything is glittery and fun, wonderful in everyway and when you just want to dance and say whatever's on your mind, whether it may be immature or not. This album perfectly describes that feeling. With it's endlessly replayable pop tunes and lyrical characteristics that is reminiscent of Carly Rae Jepsen works, this is a great and lovely display of teen, ... read more
This is definitely a project that goes against the typical nature of ILLIT and is one shat "tried" to do a different theme and musical style. This beat heavy, EDM style, non-lyrical focus is a sound that is now more popularized now especially with the previous latest releases of other HYBE groups. It seems like this is more of a general trajectory that is currently displaying to these groups and because of that, it certainly tainted the image of ILLIT and has now released their ... read more
Balloonerism. Easy to listen to and soothing to the ears. It has this distinct innocent feeling that brings you into the clouds, joined by rap verses that speaks to the child in you, that naive and simple version of you. It really is a shocker to know that Mac Miller has already passed away in 2018 and yet his legacy is still going on, in this beautiful masterpiece, in this balloon filled wonder.
Existential but not esssential. It borrows so much from her previous work and most of what's inside thes album feels like a recollection and a remixed version if previous tracks from previous. Its slightly dumbed down and doesn't leave its own place. What's in it that gives it all it's prowess? It's a bit silly and is highly tame that feels so safe and basic with the only thing that drives it away from common ground is that semi-shocking cover art.
I see billy woods when i see him...... This has so much and borrows so much from billy woods's music to the point that it's nostalgic. I know that most experimental and avant garde works isn't necessarily trying to achieve nostalgia but that is what this album provokes onto me. It is all so complex and even through all of those chaos, it gives the right amount of attention to detail leaving you wanting and waiting for more.
This is the first time that I've ever heard an experimental production on a genre such as hip-hop. It opens up to new experiences and new sounds accompanied with great bars and rhythmic performances. It delivers something beautiful and impactful that is unique enough to stand out from all the rest. It deserves to be up there with the greats.
What is it with all of these half baked lyrics and bars all hidden with soulful snippets and samples? This long awaited album of Kanye delivers little to no substance as It doesn't even take the time to even say anything in each of these songs. MOST of the songs in here are less than 1 minute long with only four songs specifically are the only ones that's surpass the 3-minute mark. It lacks any redeeming qualities and any unique perspectives. It seems that he just can't cough up ... read more
Highly impressive. There are so many ideas in here that is simply expressed perfectly from the production to the complexity if every single instrument. The implementation of jazz elements to this rock sounding experience makes all the entirely pretty unique and masterful. It plays with new and promising sounds with lyrics that has so much takeaways. You'd live every single song that this album offers you.
Cleverly unique. This is a million times better than what he did in his debut album "Nine Track Mind" and is leaning more into a place of satisfaction and nuanced feelings. It's giving the listeners the hope and grace that he can give. It's like the talents that is hidden within him is finally showing off and being showcased in this project. While it doesn't break any meaningful and visible barriers when it comes to sound design, melodic nature and lyrical quality. It ... read more
The original copy paste, corporate pop. After listening to his latest album, I'm proud of where he is now and where he improved almost every single aspect. This lack of authenticity and lack of creativity is highly present in his debut album. Just a general lack of direction and a place of no substance and talking about topics not worth mentioning for, skimming the rest of what can be considered as good art, feeling numb and makes you snore from the lack of a stance and position.
Barely listenable. It compiles all of the most familiar parts of pop songs and redistributes it again and again and again in every single track. I swear I've heard every single song in here from another song in the past decade. There is zero innovation and no memorable characteristics that this album specify. Plus, you don't even know which genre this album is trying to achieve — country? rock? pop? It's all over the place with the most carbon copy of basic listenable ... read more
Scream into the microphone everybody, the current sensation and a hive mind of infectious hyper induced tracks have come a long way from the vault. It speaks to the mind of the chaos and creates a rage-filled masterpiece that serves up the right amounts of youthful energy and famous motifs that adds to it's charm. Self-deprecating and forcefully engaging, it asks if imperfections are enough to change someone's entire viewpoint, and it blows off the minds of the people! It doesn't ... read more
Nothing short of impressive. Yet some tracks feel like filler. It definitely feels like a whole cohesive story that is separated and chopped up into silly parts and serious moments. It's a full product in itself and prepares itself like a musical experience that is one of a kind and makes you levitate from the strings and the orchestral elements that this album highly relies on.
Structurally more cohesive and improved in comparison to her previous works. She moves on from that immature writer that focuses on shock value in her songs to a storyteller that references real life issues that has a lot of variety in comparison to K-12 or Cry Baby that more or less talks about the same things. This is definitely the best album from hers so far and she's come a long way from an artist that you take unseriously from her past works.
Highly impressive. Charlie Puth definitely grow a lot more as an artist and this album of his is the most lyrically and production wise consistent. It has the specific vibe that is clever yet chilling. It's a relaxing experience to listen to this from start to finish and each track blends along with one another and inevitably feels like this album is cared more and took more time and effort. Even if the lyrical content is overused and cliche already, This album is definitely more leaning ... read more
This latest EP of rapper Central Cee is bringing little to no substance to the rap industry and significantly consists of tracks that have been done multiple times already which makes this all but a memorable EP. The beats are clear and there are indeed some catchy sections in some of the tracks and even an "alright" moment that manages to fill this void of soulless rap that no one would want in an environment such as this one.
CANDY... This newest ep of hers is nothing exceptional, nothing memorable exact for one or two tracks. It being "Bitch in Ibaza" and "YAP". It's certainly leaning more into safe, club minded EDM tracks that would play on the background and because of that, it lacks any identity that may come from it. It is extremely lacking of the "It Girl" energy that these two highlight tracks mention and it generally looks like this is a pretty rushed attempt to be invested ... read more
It's more than just a little bit. Artemas grew a lot from when he was first starting out as an artist and this latest mixtape of his really shows that growth, that discovery. He's leaning more into a more unique sound that feels uniquely him and I've never heard of anything quite like it. This dark, dramatic, "morally grey" coded tracks has a specific audience in mind and it at all doesn't disappoint! Highly anticipated of mine and is overall an album that tugs the ... read more
Is there anybody out there? This is certainly one of the best indie rock projects that have ever been made! It is unique with its experimentation yet it is still familiar to the common eyes of the masses. It is relatable and heartbreaking. All in all represented perfectly with that wonderful cover art that features the blurry effects that reflects the nature in which this collection of songs happens to portray. It is filled with memorable bangers and tears filled moments that soothes you with ... read more
It gets better and better over time. Each track is upbeat and is one of the best pop records with astonishing beats and percussion that accompany it. That aspect of the album is definitely the highlight and the defining characteristic that separates this project from the sea of overproduced pop that mainly has the same exact drumbeat sample whose main objective is to be as simple and as direct as possible to the listener.
