I still can’t believe that I found a LDR album that sounded enjoyable to me. West Coast’s chorus should have sounded similar to the verses though, which were by far the best part of the entire album :(
our lord and saviour. to be completely honest, initially i did not really like this and the repetitiveness threw me off, but that performance made it grow on me IMMEDIATELY, and as a result i grew to enjoy the song itself as well! faaaaar from my favourites, but it’s been a long time since we got a surprise winner, so i’ll take it 🔥
what a whimsical album! I love the 80s synth pop inspiration; gotta be one of my favourite genres. the lyricism is so clever as well! I’m surprised that this album comes from someone who was almost 40 at the time the album came out, as I would normally expect such sound from someone who’s pushing 30 at most. that is very much a compliment though, we love to see mature artists whose music creation process keeps aging like wine.

welcome to my first review!
this is the first full Megadeth album that I’ve listened to and, to be fair… not the strongest one. of course I have to take into account that Dave is in his 60s and beat throat cancer, but his voice isn’t even a problem to me. this album, while not bad at all, just failed to deliver any song that I could say I’ll cherish for years to come, aside from “Ride The Lightning” (and still, I think the Metallica version is significantly ... read more
