Aya - Strange Flower

feels like taking in the sunlight and letting it go through your body.
it's very calm, light and warm, i adoreee the melodies and her voice, it's so soothing. There's really no fillers i enjoyed it from start to finish and i feel like it flows pretty smoothly through songs. Production is nice too, sounds very well put together.
loooved this one :3

Hilary Duff - luck… or something
78

My introduction to Hilary Duff's music was no dissapointment. I did not know what to expect going into this album but I found myself enjoying what I was hearing, TO ME this sounds similar to Carly Rae Jepsen's "The Loneliest Time" It has this summery breezy vibe even if it's based on not so easy topics.
I didn't think the lyricism was always the best, but I like her approach to it, it sounds more grown up and a little more mature than something like Taylor ... read more

Howling Bells - Howling Bells

Enjoyed this throughout all it's runtime, I loved the vocals and the Gothic Country influenced instrumentation. I thought that added a lot of body to this record, I don't have much to say other than this is a very cool album

Tori Amos - Stronger Together
85

TORI IS BACKKKK
I enjoy this track a lot, it grew on me during the first few listens.
The lyrics although they are very straight foward they're very meaningful and powerful. The instrumental is cool too, i loved the downtempo influence on it and I loved her daughters vocals too, they combine well with Tori's this time around.
Everybody escape your billionare lizard demon husband NOW!!!

Dark Ages - The Chronicle of the Plague
72

Good dungeon synth.

For me the highlights are Rats, Blessed Be the Waters of the Avignon River and The Doors With Scarlet Crosses. With the rest of the tracks being ok, nothing wrong with this album I just didn't find myself amazed at most songs

A perfect night album in my opinion, production is elegant and dark, between that and the drawn out vocals its like it lures you in to keep listening. The atmosphere thats created is soothing, magical, ethereal and mysterious.
Julee cruise, Angelo Badalamenti and David Lynch just have such a way to make everything sort of unsettling and hyptonic. Their collaborative work to create "Floating Into The Night" landed them what is to me a damn fine album.

Also this album being directly ... read more

Kristin Hayter - SAVED!
100

At the time this record came out I remember seeing a lot of people praising it, I thought the cover was great but I didn't really know who Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter was or what to expect from this LP. I didn't even know that her and Lingua Ignota (which i had heard of at the time) were the same person lol. So therefore I never got around to giving it a try. UNTIL today, well actually yesterday kinda, I listened to a snippet of the first track and thought it sounded amazing and really ... read more

Dead Can Dance - Within the Realm of a Dying Sun
90

This record was captivating, hypnotizing and haunting.
I felt as though while I was listening to it I was being posessed by the music itself.

From the few neoclassical darkwave records I have listened to (all were great by the way) this is definitely my favorite, the medieval sounding melodies, the lyrics, the atmosphere it created and the imaginary dungeon it transported me to was really magical.

Lana Del Rey - Norman Fucking Rockwell!
100

My favorite album of all time and I doubt it will ever change, everything about this album is perfect and each time I listen to it i´m transported back to when it came out, the soft rock sounds fit her voice and these songs perfectly, her lyricism is at it's best here.

To me this album feels like those winter days when the sun shines brightly and it isn´t cloudy anymore or similar to that when spring is starting and the cold is fading away so the flowers start growing, I´m ... read more

Donna Summer - I Feel Love
100

what a beautiful piece of art, to know that she intended this song to sound like the future and it sort of does, just so influential and groundbreaking

Björk - Post
88

The follow up to her great debut is even better, exploring much more genres and sounds and being very successful at that. I wouldn't rank this higher just because i'm a fan of björk's more experimental music

Björk - Fossora
84

Fossora is Björk's mushroom album and I really love that, it's a fun album with a variety of sounds, really high highs and theres some dips in the later half but no song is Bad in the record. Overall a really good body of work

Björk - Volta
80

Often regarded as her worst album i could never say that that's the case for me, the first 4 tracks are so strong and highlights on her career, i love the wildness of this record

Björk - Debut
80

Björk's debut is a fun record with great songs but when i think of her albums i don't think of this one often, it just doesn't shine as bright as her other projects to me

Kara Jackson - Why Does the Earth Give Us People to Love?
98

Kara Jackson's debut is a heartfelt composition, It's a perfect introduction to her discography. The songwritting is on another level and her voice! It's amazing! safe to say this is one of my favorite albums of the year.

Donna Summer - Love to Love You Baby
80

major upgrade from her debut project, title track is so fun despiste being almost 17 minutes long, the rest is also good and this is more like the donna we all know and love, she really nailed this first disco record

Lana Del Rey - Blue Banisters
85

Personal and laid back, blue banisters is perfect for an autumn evening, it captures that essence perfectly
