On Hilary Duff’s new album after such a long time, she does dreamy and introspective pop well, which interesting production and candid lyrics. The back half is slightly dragged out as compared to the first but overall it’s a great listen for the nostalgia.

Music built for a coffeeshop. The easy going and jazzy tracks on here are relaxing but they don’t leave much afterthought. One is guaranteed to move through the album as fast as they started.
Favourite tracks: Lonesome, Prague, Move Along, All Of My Friends

Gothic, full of love, fear and the unknown, Charli xcx’s soundtrack for Wuthering Heights is cinematic, dark and incredibly riveting, showing her capabilities to make anything and everything with her unique flair.

Such a pleasing yet succinct album. The strings and RnB vibes are atmospheric and rich, making it a great listen, often surprising with strong production choices.
Favourite tracks: white noise. , have to. , butterflies. , four seasons.

Bolstered with dark and trippy lofi production, this album feels like a ride of sorts, shifting from slow, tense tracks to tracks with deep, atmospheric ambient soundscapes.
Favourite tracks: Desire, Mister Lost, Hold You, Croak Dream, (Fool), Jaded
Overall Rating: 81
A mixed bag of songs on this album, It feels less focused with the album sprawling with various apocalyptic and nightmarish situations currently plaguing society, with some tracks that outshining others. Also, some of the lyrics on here feel awkward, occasionally really disturbing and juvenile at times.
Favourite tracks: GARBAGE, MONOPOLY MAN, THE PLAGUE, BATSH*T INTELLIGENCE, THE VATICAN

On this album, Charlie Puth is as personal as he can be, with the songs being chill and laid back. However, most songs blend into a blur and are not that memorable. Still a solid effort from him.
Favourite songs: Changes, Beat Yourself Up, New Jersey, Home

Dramatic, lively and full of optimism, RAYE’s 2nd album offering puts forward beautiful orchestral strings, spectacular melodies along with some theatre magic, wishing to be the light at the end of anyone’s tunnel. This album definitely contains hope.

BTS calls back to their older work while balancing both the bold and more laid back styles on this album, which makes it both introspective and upbeat and still a pretty good comeback album. There’s still space for improvement though.
Favourite Songs: Body to Body, FYA, SWIM, One More Night

First 2 songs are so hype and catchy but it starts going downhill. Wishing this project was longer as well. The experimentation in the album is okay, but nothing much of a standout except for the first 2, wish the mini album had the same vibe as them.
Favourite songs: JUMP, GO
Overall Rating: 69
It’s filled with retro textures, certainly upbeat, with smooth lines delivered well. But something about it doesn’t really scream bold like its name does, and doesn’t leave much to think about. Not bad though, just not that much of a development.
Favourite Tracks: Aperture, Season 2 Weight Loss, Coming Up Roses

Brilliant album with lush electronic elements that really make you ponder about love, life and everything in between. (Might be my own personal AOTY contender)
Favourite Tracks: Walk Out Music, Death of Love, I Had a Dream She Took My Hand, Didn’t Come To Argue, Doesn’t Just Happen, Rest Of Your Life, Through The High Wire

Ethereal and shifting between dark pop and dreamy melodies, locket is a great progression from previous albums, feeling more personal yet complex in a spellbinding sort of way.
Favourite tracks: locket theme, yes baby, angel wings, bad enough, bittersweet, complexity, make you mine

Even though the songs here are mostly short, the atmosphere and vibes are focused and still rather cohesive. This may not be his best work but it’s definitely the most freeing and authentic version that Joji presents here. Really love these songs.

Quite a well executed album, The different genres worked great to create a great work consisting of futuristic synthesised elements and classic RnB and pop. Will be exploring more of underscores’ music after this!

Honestly this feels like a recycled Silk Sonic album. The Latin influence is interesting but I found myself hoping to hear more sonic diversity and growth while listening to it, but it only did on a few standout tracks.
Favourite tracks: Risk It All, God Was Showing Off, On My Soul
