An essential album to hip hop, great rapping, amazing production, and a big showing of his talent.
Great rapping, great production, great comeback for the second in the series.
The first in the Carter series and unfortunately probably the worst. Long and a bit effortless.
Very mature, very concise, very consistent. Not many issues but not perfect.
A unique album, a lot of diversity in features but I think the deluxe being the normal version would have done this album a favor.
Has the certification of bangers from his catalog, probably closest to his best.
I am simply going to hold a prayer that Kanye recovers mentally and fixes this album. But for now I’m just going to keep listening to my [untitled] version, way more polished than this mid he released.
For every hit there is a bit of a miss, it isn’t bad in any form and honestly I like it more than most people, I have to be realistic though and give it a 75.
It’s a fun little album. Honestly it doesn’t feel like an album because of how short it is and it isn’t perfect as you can tell it was made in a shorter period but it gave a nice end to the victory lap Kendrick had in 2024.
His most emotional album, it took 5 years for him to construct this and although it may not be the most glamorous, rap heavy and racially defensive album, you can see Kendrick for who he is and how he is maturing.
Although this album isn’t bad it feel like it lacks something. Besides that, I like how each song forms a story as well as the story can work both ways wether the tracklist is reversed or not.
This mf went back to back on talking about and showcasing how unfair America is and has become. He, on both albums, has captured Compton as well as many other black communities lives.
It’s crazy to think someone can bless the world with this kind of work on only their 2nd studio album.
His oldest piece and it still holds up. Showed the potential for his future.
I can’t hate on this album. He shows diversity in beats, lyrics, and flows as well as giving a continuous era of old Kanye.
