I think this is much better than TTPTSD. It’s got some of her best pop songs in several years, all of which have pretty catchy melodys. But the lyrics on some of these songs are shit, eldest daughter has interesting ideas and a cool melody but it feels like a strange first draft, which feels like a bad habit left over from TTPD. And wtf was wish list…
Best songs - Opalite, The fate of Ophelia, Actually Romantic, Life of a showgirl
Worst songs - wishlist, cancelled
Some of his best songs and definitely his gayest (thank u Conan)
Lot more indie rock mixed in than I was expecting which is my favorite kind of Conan song. Romeo was a very welcomed sound for him. I wouldn’t mind more like that.
I think some of it gets lyrically boring at points but songs like The Actor and Class Clown make up for songs like My World. Probably would say this isn’t as good as Superache, Kid Krow, or really even Found Heaven, but he has yet to miss.

Kesha writes a Sara Bareilles song.
The verses sound off to me for some reason, but that prechorus is beautiful.
A crazy string of songs, almost gets better each song. I didn’t hate Solar Power as much as everyone seemed too but this is leagues above that. Her bluntness in a lot of the lyrics worked well and I don’t think she’s ever sang this well on a record before.
Best Tracks - Shapeshifter, Man Of The Year, Favorite Daughter, If She Could See Now
Worst Track - David
I like this song but I think the mixing is kinda rough. Everything sounds cluttered, the vocals are so pushed away, the violins and the drums are like fighting each other. Best part is when everything gets stripped back and then everything kicks back in.
Not sure why he picked this album cover, it really doesn’t fit the music. And it’s a shame too bc he could’ve at least tried to make the lyrics relate to anything a young american might go through besides just first loves and like 2 songs about his parents. But he is also a white Mormon man so maybe that’s as deep as it goes for him. And it’s probably for the best we didn’t have to listen to wack ass political lyrics from him. Instead we got some wack ass ... read more
billie's verse did not hit but I hope they work tg in the future again
Billie Eilish the woman that you are. It's an album full of 'Billie Bossa Nova' type songs and a bunch of gay sad shit, that's everything I needed. THANK YOU BILLIE EILISH.
I think these songs in comparison to her second album are more fully realized both in songwriting and in production. All the transitions !!! so good. The front half of the album though, is the stronger half sounding like a further evolution between the last two projects. The second half is bit similar to a lot of what we've ... read more
I can’t wait to hear a full album from him eventually, between this and his last EP he has found his sound. I hope he sticks to this too for a bit, it suits his voice so well. I think lyrically he’s found his place too. He’s the pop boy and I wish more people would appreciate it. I’d say I liked every track except for Crazy. It doesn’t fit the rest of the EP. It kind of has an early 2000’s rock anthem vibe to it that does not work to well with the ... read more
I can't believe I liked the girl in red album more than this. I know everyone says Taylor needs to let Jack go but at this point girl aren't you tired of this loop of bland mid tempo synth pop. Is this is the price we must pay for asking for woodvale. I think the album has a few moments in certain songs that are great. But it's hard not to feel like if you went on YouTube and searched "Taylor Swift Folklore Midnights Type Beat," all the results would sound like most of the stuff on ... read more
A lot of these songs sound like Owl City songs so I can see why everyone hates this. About half way through the album I felt like I could only hear the owl city man singing in my head instead of girl in red's voice.
Best Songs - Too Much, Phantom Pain, You Need Me Now
Worst Songs - Pick Me, New Love
Will always love Conan for throwing himself into different pop sounds for each album. I think he’s more fit for alt and rock pop but this is still solid. The songwriting isn’t as strong as his past releases. (I’d argue sunset season as a whole even has better lyrics.) He seems to be more focused on the vocals, which have definitely gotten better each album. It was nice to hear him jump around his range. But PLEASE work again with Dan nigro next album conan, I fear max martin ... read more
you know what would be really fucking cool on this? if the whole song was as good as Sabrina carpenter's part.
the bridges do be the best parts of his last few singles for this album but the back half of this song went so hard
the bridge is the best part but not much else to say
this’ll probably end up in the background of a tv show though
edit: I get it now conan
this > never ending song
It’s actually insane she even spent 3 days making this. Sounds like 10 minutes on a free FL Studio beat.
