It's like that time where In Flames forgot they were a Melodic Death Metal band.
I don't hate it and there are genuinely great songs on here, but on the other hand some parts are really generic and uninspired and I find the Black Metal these guys usually do a lot more engaging.

This was just unpleasant.
On the bandcamp page it says you have to play it LOUD, but if you do, I'm pretty sure your speakers or your ears will just combust.
I'll give it five points, because the two shorter songs "Aprax" and "the fort spke" were pretty cool atmospheric tracks. Too bad it's straight back to pain after them.

Finished three songs and wanted to end myself after that.

I love the first three albums of TDG and they carried me through my middle school emo phase. I did not care that much for the next four albums, since I grew out of being emo. Kinda reminiscing those memories I went and listened to their newest release, just to be disappointed.
It pains me to say this, but this is such a bland and boring record to me. Maybe it's nostalgia speaking out of me, but nothing really sticks out, nothing really resonates with me, everything sounds like generic ... read more
