as someone who is new to the rage rap style , the only other one i’ve listened too being AGC by ken Carson, i thought it would make sense to go back to the original rage rap as one of my first and it’s definitely good, its easy to tell why this style took off.
anything under an 80 for this album should be criminal. where staples sled titled album was a sample of this style of emotion, this album is a full course meal. this album is as beautiful as it is tragic and tells stores that are damn near if not perfect. this album is better than anything the rapper has put out in my honest opinion and the fact that statement isn’t common is insulting. truly incredible album and one of my favorite rap albums of all time.
probably the bands weakest album. its not bad and there are songs i enjoy, like eardrum and HATEHATEHATEHATE, but other then that this one is very forgettable, especially compared to the other two.
overall this album has a certain quality to it thats hard to describe. it has a lot of intensity that was present on the bands first album, rubber but that the same time it doesn't. the overall quality of the album starts off amazing with songs like toy car and ssslbg but the moment it gets to super pretty mess it takes a dip in quality. if tje last dew songs were better then i would definitely rate this album higher
