I can't bring myself to fully hate taylor swift. I don't think this is a particularly special album, it is probably a little more boring than her other recent albums but still the same sort of sad but effortless pop thing she does. Tbh I am not really the tswift target audience so I might be giving it a little too much grace based on that.
I listened to this while playing the dark souls 3 painted world dlc. You might assume that the best music for dark souls is something dark and brooding or whatever, but I am there for the beautiful snowy digital landscape listening to Fell In Love while fighting giant wolves
Listened to this on a long drive yesterday and remembered how much I love this album.
I do like the way they think about layering sounds over one another, uh, that's the music critic term I'm sure, but I'm not the biggest fan of the general aesthetic of this album. On one hand, I appreciate that they're doing something fun and creative, but on the other hand, it's a little looney tunes pop for me sometimes.
