I mean, its solid, but its not like THAT good. I don't think that the 8 years of wait paid off, its a great album nonetheless, not horrible at least. Its not an album, its a whole experience. First appearance of the Weeknd, it can be seen the talent Abel has in songwriting and production. Definitely an album worth a listen.
First studio album of Abel, even though there are some lackluster tracks, still a solid track and kinda underrated, it still follows the old The Weeknd vibe, and the inspiration of horror films are noticeable in many songs. Solid first studio album.
While starboy has one of the most recognizable Weeknds singles and contains various great tracks, the pacing in the last part of the album just don't connect with me. Still a solid track list, setting the division between the old Abel and the new one.
