SAME LA fucking slaps wtf.
nvm. This whole album fucking slaps. Some of the best electropop i've ever heard. Particularly strong start though, maybe a teeny tiny dip in quality towards the middle of the record. Some of these songs will be near my top songs of the year.
Such a psychadelic experience, it feels like motion sickness in the best way possible. Like you don't really know what's going on, but you're exactly where you're supposed to be. The album doesn't ... read more
All the songs are very strong. However, it gets a bit repetitive toward the backend of this album. Don't think that this aged all that well, sounds a bit dated.
Go aften.
Regardless of how mad i am at peggy for postponing, and then cancelling his Copenhagen concerts / I have to admit that this might just be my favourite solo album of his. The only one that puts up a fight is LP *offline version*. This is just so fun, so aggressive, and my previous qualms with peggy, being that his ideas, whilst interesting didn't feel fully fleshed out do not exist on this here record. Every song keeps the intriguing elements that made me interested in his music from the ... read more
Incredible. Spellbinding through and through. Everything from the beat selection to the mixing and the vocals are just a chefs kiss. Gutted to have missed them on their tour, i think this would really be a transcending cult/like experience. I cant really point to a single weak point in this album, i've listened to it front to back more times than i can count. Instant classic, and something that i think will age extremely well.
Damn. I never rated this. Super super fun album. Better than anything he put out with Black Midi. MR. GREEP is a creative machine as evidenced by tthis album.
I really enjoyed this. Honestly though, i preferred the original. This album starts to feel a little repetitive towards the end. To me it doesn't feel like they tried to outdo their last effort. Still though, very enjoyable album.
Impressive. For me this is better than her last effort. Listening to this album after all the controverse made it all the better. I sympathize a lot with Ethel Cain as an artist, amplifying the emotions of the already strong storytelling element of the album. During my listening of her last album, i enjoyed it, but i never picked it up again. It didn't stay in my head or leave a lasting impression. This one however, has stuck with me since its release, and i still come back to it from time ... read more

one of my favourite jazz albums oat. Just so fun.
This feels like a beach day with a slight breeze. Super fun, No complaints.
More consistent than the melodic blue. But honestly, i expected more. The ideas don't feel fully fleshed out. The album struggles to stick to a theme, and while that might be the point of the album, i don't believe that these songs stand strong enough on their own to be able to carry that theme. With that being said... This album is still good fun.
absolutely adore this album. The production is extremely extremely lush while still retaining its melancholic qualities. Rosalia manages to convey a message despite the language barrier and i absolutely have to commend her for that. Definitely a step up from Motomami, an album i saw live in 2023. I hope to get the chance to see this one live soon.
really enjoyed this. Act I and II particularly. Maybe it's just listening fatigue that keeps it from reaching higher heights. Love the chaotic realm Raye operates in on this record, definitely a step up from her debut. There are songs here that are gonna be in heavy rotation.
extremely boring. A few slight highlights but nothing that left a lasting impression. Definitely a step in the right direction for Kanye though. And if the rumous are true that he's planning to tweak the album, i'm looking forward to that, although i struggle to see how he will make it more memorable.
sombr / i barely know her
have decided to be more analytical with my reviews, try and enjoy the music more rather than nitpicking at it. That being said, I think it’s impossible for me to giggle and call something which sucks “fun” / lets see where this lands.
This album is very very chorus coded, that’s not to say that the album isn’t good. It’s just not THAT creative or groundbreaking. To me, i’m left with a feeling of having heard the same song a ... read more
been sitting on this album for a while. Listened through it a couple of times but never took the time to review it. I think it’s about time now. Quadeca is an artist who is incredibly special to me. From watching his youtube videos and his diss tracks back in 2019 to then forgetting about him and then picking back up my interest around the time IDMTHY came out. Since then, i’ve grown to really love IDMTHY, and i really appreciated Scrapyard for what it was too, so it’s fair to ... read more
løber et album #1
ny serie.
I don’t know anything about Brittany Howard. I have never heard any of her music, but damn. This album is good. I’m really into psychedelically infused produced music, and I've heard that this album has lots of that, so I'm naturally gonna gravitate toward some songs.
Earth Sign, the opener, starts slow but quickly builds and showcases some of the most impressive vocals and vocal layering I've heard this year, and some very impressive, rambunctious, psychadelic, hard to pin down ... read more
Let me just start this off by saying: This is the first time I've listened to an Ariana album from front to back. Of course I've heard her hits, just like anyone else - but I'm yet to see which direction she goes album wise, and whether her albums differ stylistically. Ariana hasn’t dropped an album for 4 years, so you’d maybe expect something new from her on this album - rather than the formula of sexually infused pop / lowkey R&B tracks which she has previously had success ... read more
