I'm unashamedly obsessed with every time Type O Negative uses a sitar I think it just adds so much interest and magic I genuinely become so immersed when it starts playing. No surprise that Less Than Zero is my favourite on this album. I Don't Wanna Be Me kind of falls flat for me a bit besides the cool guitar solo but maybe it'll grow on me..

This album seems to draw from the metal genre more than the other two I’ve listened to (Bloody Kisses and October Rust) which I’m not complaining about; my favourites of this album appear to be the tracks that lean further in that direction. Don’t see much point in the minute-long intervals of people crying and blowing snot from their nostrils, but maybe I just don’t see the vision… Overall I think this is a solid album and is just about on par with Bloody Kisses, ... read more

This album was recommended to me multiple times by the same person and, despite my high expectations, did not disappoint. Love You to Death is a fantastic opener, and really does immediately prove their ability to create music that far exceeds any of the tracks on Bloody Kisses. Haunted is another stand-out track for me, creating such a rich atmosphere of the best kind of overwhelming sound. This album is so full of life and emotion. Word on a Wing in particular is one of my all time favourites. The final track, Wild is the Wind, just exhibits such incredible feeling, with Bowie’s melancholy and passionate vibrato echoing around the walls of your skull, enticing you to fall deeper into the captivating atmosphere he creates with this cover.
