a gorgeous collection of reworked songs and one of my favorite french album of all time. it’s clear this album leaned more into the pop side of what was showing up in french culture at the time, but there’s this softer sound at times that seems less typical of normal chanson which gives it this beautiful, soft and emotional sound which is even more gorgeous paired with francoise hardy’s voice. not as lushly arranged as la question, but it’s still absolutely beautiful.
