LE SSERAFIM’s newest release “PUREFLOW”, Pt. 1 is very underwhelming. While it has its moments, the album on the whole is disappointing.
The main tracks, BOOMPALA and CELEBRATION, are two of the worst on the album, and some of the worst K-Pop tracks I’ve heard this year, BOOMPALA possibly being the worst. Their collaboration with Aliyah’s Interlude is nothing short of unlistenable, obnoxious noise.
As stated, the album has some highlights, such as iffy iffy and ... read more
girl they just keep gagging me...
Heavily reminds me of the late 90s/early 00s RnB groups while still feeling fresh and modern, I definitely prefer this to the album title track, waiting on Remedied as it sounds so good from the preview.
I really don't like the instrumental on this and it sort of just abruptly ends short, I'm not feeling it.
I loved Leak It but this just did nothing for me... it felt like something they'd have released in a previous project, and when the album was announced I was hoping for more singles like Leak It, but this didn't do much for me. Was underwhelmed by this.
This is a nice listen and fits Kim quite well but not something I'd listen to too often.
SHE'S ACTUALLY KINDA FAMOUS NOW...
AOTY. Slayyyter finally getting the praise, recognition and flowers she's been long overdue.
There isn't a skip on this album.
Favourite tracks: "DANCE...", "I'M ACTUALLY KINDA FAMOUS" and "$T. LOSER"
Least favourite track: "CANNIBALISM!"
Not sure they “LOCKED IN” for this album…
BABYMONSTER’s recent EP release CHOOM is nothing short of generic and dated. The four tracks on the EP are truly nothing special, with the title track “CHOOM” truly missing the mark. Its chorus was repetitive and borderline annoying, while the verses were very forgettable.
“I LIKE IT” was a cute, yet very dated track that allowed the group to showcase their vocals more, and while I definitely believe it ... read more
yuronono’s samsara takes you on a stunning journey from start to finish. Starting with shoegaze, ending with some dark synthwave. It showcases more of yuronono as an underground artist, with most tracks truly unlocking their full potential.
The album on the whole manages to keep you engaged as yuronono teleports you through a story. The production, especially on “remnant”, is very well done. Each track just has its own personality, its own aura about it that makes them all at ... read more
I’m sure H&M really enjoyed playing this album at least 27 times a day for their shoppers to “enjoy”!
You’ll Be Alright, Kid is nothing short of boredom. Filled with generic lyricism, mundane radio filler and outdated sounds, this album does not live up to any expectation someone may have of it.
Several tracks on this album most definitely should’ve been left in the year of 2014, certainly not being released on full-length albums in 2025.
There wasn’t ... read more
NAIL is a solid EP from Yves, however, with little standing out. The production of the EP is definitely the standout. It helps this project to feel very fresh and polished, and it’s very consistently shown throughout the EP.
Overall, I think this EP marked a small turning point for Yves, she is definitely experimenting more on this project, and it’s working. This album was a relaxing listen for the most part, and I would come back to a couple of tracks on this project.

This remix release of Midnight Sun was an interesting listen to say the least. Some tracks felt fresh, while some felt downgraded. There were definitely two main highlight tracks for me, those being “Hot & Sexy (ft. Tyla)” and “Saturn’s Return (ft. Malibu & Helena Gao)”. Maybe “Hot & Sexy” benefitted from sounding the most similar to the original version.
On the whole, this release felt slightly unnecessary, though the remixed ... read more
Harry Styles’ return to music with “Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally” is a fine album that shows a new side of Styles that we haven’t yet seen. The disco tracks, specifically “Aperture” and “Pop”, are definitely the highlights of the album, with several songs feeling like average Harry Styles songs we’d have seen on previous albums.
The experimentation throughout this album works well and I believe Styles should lean into this ... read more
Rochelle Jordan’s return to music via this album is nothing short of near perfection. Her growth is really shown in this album, as she has adapted from being a House artist, experimenting with other genres much more in this album.
As the album goes on, it does feel slightly “same-same”, but that doesn’t take away from how great this album showcases Rochelle. The first half of the album definitely contains the major standouts of the album, but the second half definitely ... read more
A fine album release from Madison Beer, but not without flaws. This album feels like an attempt to mix her previous sounding albums with a new era of Madison, but it fails to hit its full potential. There are standout tracks for sure, both being in the upbeat, dark-pop sound, something I think she should lean more into.
Her slow paced track days are behind her, with certain tracks such as “for the night” and “you’re still everything” feeling more like an earlier ... read more
Kelela’s debut album is truly breathtaking. It really showcases just what she can do, from electronic to R&B, to a mix of several genres, specifically on "LMK" and "Blue Light", she really is showcased well on the album. Her vocals are excellent throughout the album, but more specifically shown on "Waitin" and "Enough". There’s a couple of tracks that didn’t stand out truly to me, but nothing bad at all. It’s a very good album ... read more
