sickening, face pulling heavy djent/prog, recommend It almost as much as I recommend obZen, it's less catchy, so It may be less accessible (though that's not the point of their music)
some incredible instrumentation from behemoth right here. this i feel like is the magnum opus of what the band is trying to achieve, a huge, enormous wall of sound, which is perfectly conveyed by the batshit crazy drum parts, which by the way, holy shit is the playing on this record just out of the world. It really is. Solid ass record, unfortunately overproduced though (typical from bands of this popularity, at least in the black metal scene)
also a fun listen, I prefer their following album as it's way catchier, but this is really good too, so I'd recommend it
Near perfect album, could use more variety but it's such a good expansion from their first album, genuinely, incredible experience, would recommend big time
had a stank face the whole album, sick fucking disgusting and fat production, sounds dirty, loved It through and through
Feels more delicate and intimate than their debut. Doesn't really bring much new to their formula, however, it improves upon their style, making it much more delicate and diverse, with the playing being much tighter, and the riffing much dirtier. Loses some of the inspiration it drew from Stoner bands also, while still keeping that sound, which i compliment
Leaves you numb, but in a very comfortable way.
The inspiration to Stoner Doom bands like Electric Wizard is very evidente, however, the band is still able to go in a unique direction, with the album overall feeling very delicate yet gritty and dark at the same time. one of the most interesting metal bands active RN for sure
More groove metal than thrash, however it makes sense for it to be slower, as it is a record to grieve Cliff Burton's death. Unfortunately marks Metallica's downfall, however the overall performance of each member in this record is near perfect, with my only real big gripe being how much slower it is compared to the albums before it, love the experimentation though, so I can't be mad at it at all
