Amore che Vieni Amore che Vai, il Testamento, La Guerra di Piero, so many standout songs. Feels like poetry rather than music in a way, which I figure is most definitively the point lol, the lyrics are so genius (especially if you know italian lol), one of my favourite singer-songwriter records oat
such a delicate yet heavy album at the same time. honestly the only thing that's holding this record back for me are the clean vocals.. they just kinda sound bland? hope that makes sense. everything else is so genius, the guitar playing and drumming especially, just a very masterfully composed album. Great death doom metal record. Feels a bit inconclusive though, with the last song being instrumental and all. Everything else is really well done
really suffocating, angry death metal album, I actually find this less "iconic" in a way compared to their debut ep, but there's very good standout moments in this record. I really like the last part in the first track and some of the bass playing and guitar playing is nuts. vocals are pretty fucking rad as well. would recommend, very underrated
Honestly very good album, my only real gripe with it is the production, to me the drums have way too much sheen compared to what I would expect from death doom metal. Feels like really early Katatonia (especially since it's a side project inspired by that era of the band), however I somehow feel they missed the mark on what makes those albums so special. Don't get me wrong, this one has incredible amounts of charm, and I still like the things it did differently, and for me it's ... read more
in a way feels like the perfect spiritual successor to Brave Murder Day in a way that October Tide's "Rain without End" failed to achieve, feels much closer to the simplistic, goth rock-y vibe of the original album. completely left me speechless, wow. Love the melodies, even songs I like less than others like "Someone I (don't) Know" manage to have such good musicianship, the lead guitars are very expressive, and so are the vocals. The drumming is so on point as ... read more
very fun, grindy death metal album. very straightforward, highly recommend honestly, the drumming is just out of this fucking world, very well written lyrics too. the songs do follow a pretty same-y structure but it's all still very fucking good.
fuck yeah sludgy ass cavernous death metal. the riffing is so goof man. highly recommend. not a single miss man, feels like being crushed by mud
very important album for the death metal scene, very groovy with some epic elements. nothing too offensive but also not too interesting. just straightforward, good death metal. can't go wrong with it.
probably one of their worse album, not much really sticks out to me. just blastbeats over some shoegaze lol, wish they hadn't gone this route since it's the route most dsbm bands take and it's kind of stale imo
kind of leaves brave murder day's more gothic rock-ish sound for a more traditional death metal sound and it kind of paid off, very nice listening experience, lyrics are incredibly gloomy and possibly my favourite part of this record. kind of doesn't hold up to the previous record but it's still great
wife = beated
phone = yeeted
sanity = defeated
edit: mom I'm famous!!!
in all seriousness this record is fucking great. love the technicality and overall "weirdness" of the record, the name defeated sanity definitively feels fitting for such a sound. really like a lot of the tracks here, kind of wish it was longer though. very good. the only real gripe i have w this record is that it's so short lol. highly recommend otherwise
pretty good gothic folk, vert proggy in some aspects. not much to say other than the atmosphere's great and holy shit that opening track is otherwordly, genuine 10/10, everything else is way too similar to it unfortunately and doesn't evolve upon its concept so idk. not much else stuck out other than Loveless Road, End of the Water Line and Sleeping Inside. pretty good listen though
Hell yeah, very tender, emotional and bubbly Cloud Rap, love the instrumentals, the flows, the vocals, pretty much everything about this album. very consistent, almost a bit too consistent unfortunately, kind of repetitive somewhat, but it's still incredibly consistent. highly recommend
very much a hard hitting fun and heavy death metal record with so many caveman riffs and sections, very fun and straightforward, very sort of grimy production, pretty raw (though at times the highs are a little to high). The lyrics are pretty cringy even for death metal standards but otherwise a pretty solid record, very consistent.
Jesus Christ listening to this between 4-5AM was definitively an experience alright. One of the most primal, genuine sounds I've ever heard from a band. Very chilling and raw, each song grabs onto you and doesn't let go even when you think it's finished. Such a memorable experience, no real gripes with this album, genuinely perfect, would love to listen to this again for the first time. Incredibly zany, from the lyrics, to the vocals, to the instrumentals, such an unpredictable ... read more
literally near perfect tracks back to back. i think "everything is quiet now" is the best one on this. that song is PERFECT and that ending breakdown is just unreal. wish the first song held up to it, it's fun and it also kicks ass but it just doesn't have as much special as the second track does. really fun singles
