Pulver is so fucking weird. It combines Depressive Black Metal with Post-Punk, turns the chaos meter up to eleven and then it just kind of works? I legitimately struggle to explain this album because it really is just that strange of a clusterfuck but it’s very enjoyable as well as emotional. I do have to say though that as hard as the band name Lifelover goes, the music couldn’t be further from life loving.
This album has AMAZING riffs, interesting ideas and unique vocals like the other LL stuff, but a live drum kit would've made some of these songs beyond perfect
