Color me surprised the way i just checked my release radar today and saw there is a new Dead Kiwis LP. I entirely missed this album rollout so it was quite a surprise to see this band drop out of nowhere. A pleasant one tho cuz this band rips. And so does this new Album.

Pretty cool collab here. The mix of Merzbows noise with the spoken word and occasional jazz sections sounded fresh and i enjoyed a lot of the ideas presented here. So with its 31 minute runtime this is quite a nice record.
Pretty solid Brutal Death. I was hoping a bit more out of this considering this is a supergroup consisting of Rich Nagasawa (Dehumanized), Derek Boyer (Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Disgorge, Deeds of Flesh, Decrepit Birth), Eric Morotti (Suffocation) and Devin Swank (Sanguisugabogg). So like with that lineup i was expecting some next level shit. Its still good just not on the level of what most of these musicians are known for.
And so this marks the end of the duo '68 featuring Nikko Yamada on drums and Josh Scogin on guitar/vocals. Tbh this band has always felt more like an interesting but ultimately kinda boring project. One of a few sub par projects to be created upon The Chariot disbanding. I got to see this band open for Better Lovers last year on their EU tour and tbf i gotta say this band is WAY better live (or well its gonna be was once they finish their farewell tour) either way i feel this album ... read more
