This was an experiment in self-pity in a way that did absolutely nothing for me. There was no good introspection into any of the feelings presented here and was just some more cry-wanking from somebody who really thinks they are the main character in life. I don't think the production was anything to write home about either since most of the vocal effects were extremely short and extremely derivative of Post-Malone in the worst way.

The instrumentals themselves reminded me of the Crywank ... read more

Storytelling Immaculate.

Kenrick has a way of putting the lyrics to the beats in a way that is just incredible. There's no other way to describe it.

You can very easily see a person who is conflicted with the idea that what they bring to the world is important but they don't get it, they're just somebody else, why is everyone looking at me? He also quickly understands that people are now surrounding him that want to have clout and fame but he's still grappling with the fact that he's just ... read more

Nice instrumentation, good vocals, and great songwriting.

The debut of The Gorillaz is of course fun to listen to and there's plenty of great stuff to dig in to.

Starts off with a tongue and cheek track about getting ready for the production and what follows is a stream of psychedelia that goes further from reality as we set in on this sea-dwelling tale of The Mollusk.

I liken this album to Twin Peaks, an equally strange piece of media that knows EXACTLY what it's doing, and because of this I sort of conjure a small seaside town with different stories all happening at once centered around these strange eldritch beings that have been influencing the ... read more

First off the mixing in this whole thing is incredible. I love the way the instrumentals flow into each other and nothing over takes anything in a weird or bad way.

This is based off the George Orwell book Animal Farm, and it follows it quite well though in Pigs there's some spots where I feel they unfairly analogue the dictators of 1917 Russia and Stalin with the Whitehouse, which is not the same situation at all but it was the 70's what are you gonna do?

This was a great listen and ... read more
