It Never Ends is the best song that they have ever made.
While the mixing here isn't great, and Olis voice was kind of destroyed, it still ends up being a great listening experience and much more melodic than any of their previous albums. The synth work on this album also was the first sign of their more electronic elements and helped set up Sempiternal in a really great way.
Best: It Never Ends, Crucify Me, Anthem, Visions
Worst: Memorial
This was kind of painful to get through. Every song here was incredibly generic and had pretty terrible songwriting. "Lie" was decent, probably the best here. What also surprised me is that his vocal performance wasn't that good on any song here, in fact his voice was quite irritating to me throughout this which was disappointing considering he is usually a pretty good vocalist.
1. Dot dot dot (...): 3/10
2. TOUGH LOVE: 4/10
3. Flex on me: 1/10
4. Lie: 4/10
5. X, Oh Why?: 4/10
29 songwriters involved in these 4 songs yet somehow there were 0 memorable melodies present. Toplining has gone out the window in kpop, yet the number of songwriters somehow keeps going up. Terrible instrumentation as well.
1) POP IT LIKE: 0/10 (This was actually atrocious besides the first 8 seconds)
2) SILHOUETTE: 4/10
3) A-LIST: 4/10
4) WE ARE YOUNG: 5/10
