Review #96
This album is genuinely the most terrifying listening experience I've ever had. It seriously feels wrong. I feel like this is something that wasn't meant to be heard by anyone. I've heard nothing even close to the sound on this record, it is definitely deserving of the experimental genre label because I can't put the sound into words. The instrumentals are chaotic and the vocals are distressing filled with screams and fear. Thematically this album is one of the most uncomfortable listens I've ever had too. Themes of abuse, loss, sexual assault, self-harm, suicide, derealization, and psychosis. I don't want to get into any of the details on where I got some of this because I don't want my reviews too long and also just fear of how I'm interpreting the lyricism being wrong though I think I'm right. Just rating this album feels wrong. I love it in all aspects but I also feel like rating something so dark low is discrediting peoples experiences. Don't take this the wrong way I did still rate this album how I felt about it and that is how I feel. Seriously nothing like this and the emotions it invokes and fear I feel is an entirely different.
