Rating this after listening to GNX for the first time and after listening to Iceman (and the not-so-good 2 other albums) by Drake - easy obsevations:
1) You actually want to listen to what Kendrick has to say even on a slower track whereas Drake just yaps and most of the time you know what he's gonna say too.
2) Even on a weaker album from his best works Kendrick's lyricism is unmatched.

I genuinely think this album is better than Iceman in terms of creativity. So many good ideas, but the execution is just suboptimal. Drake tries to channel his inner The Weeknd (lol) in the second half of the album, but the vocals are just wrapped in so much autotune that it's not a pleasant listen. Also somehow it's not impactful, just boring, whenever he sings it just sounds the same all the time.

It's a Drake album that Drakes. First half is okay, the second half is incredibly boring, probably alright as background music, but nothing just hits, the way he raps is always the same, uninspired beats. Sounds like only the first half was polished at all. Little Birdie might be a strong contender for the worst Drake song ever btw.
