Building off of the soundscape left by Led by Ancient Light, KOAN Sound deliver an EP as punchy and striking as any in their catalogue, featuring some of the best EDM you'll find all year.

Emerging Path: 8.5/10 built around this slowly warping, rhythmically thumping bassline in the beginning, giving way to a very rewarding dnb drop. Absolutely love the piano incorporation here, on the bridge which allows the tone of the track to shift from a mysterious vibe to a clear, upbeat melody.
Evocation: 8.3/10 The return of glitch hop for the duo has never sounded so organic, feels like an upgraded version of "Liquid Levity" in many ways. I do wish this track went on longer though.
AlterCast: 9.0/10 An absolutely infectious fusion of future garage and bass house. All of KOAN Sound's attentions to detail come through crystal clear on this track, the second drop working so well as a payoff.
Jak's Odyssey: 9.7/10 HELL YES LIQUID DNB. God the orchestral sections here play so beautifully off of the breakbeat. And that neurofunk switchup HELL YES. This track feels like a high stakes adventure, somehow condensed down into 5 minutes without losing any of the important beats.
Luminary: 8.1/10 UNFF that switchup is so smooth. A very solid closer to this project, though I do feel it is somewhat unnecessary after the previous track felt like such a great capstone to the EP.
