This is the first Yves Tumor album I’ve listened to, and I’m quite blown away. It’s nothing like anything I’ve ever heard. It’s aggressive and emotional, but somehow also smooth. It has themes of rock and funk, but presents something new and refreshing. Can’t wait to explore more of their discography.
Fav songs: Gospel For A New Century / Medicine Burn
Extremely fun to dance to. Makes me feel like im sweating my ass off in a dark 90s club, perhaps on some psychedelics…
Fav songs: Say Ahhh… / River of Freedom / Stay in Bed, Forget the Rest
So fun. Nothing like I ever heard really… The randomness from song to song reminds me of the artistry if Bjork. All these different sounds and ideas, but it’s still somehow cohesive.
Fav songs: Spoon, Sci-Fi Wasabi, Sunday Pt. I, Clouds
The current user score is 77, and i think thats super fair. Ima give it 3 extra points tho.
I’d call it hopeful, optimistic glitch pop. I’d say it’s under the same umbrella as Ninajirachi’s I Love My Computer, but with a little less dance. A lot of the tracks actually remind me of SISTER by Frost Children. Just a super chill, easy listen that evokes nostalgia, even with its album cover.
