…I’d kinda rather just listen to gang of youths, honestly.
Like this is a good album, don’t get me wrong, but the whole time I was thinking “I could be listening to angel in realtime right now.” People Watching has those vibes for sure, but it’s just… worse.
wishlane leans into a pop-y sound, and of course, doesn’t disappoint for a single second. I can kinda get why people may be more critical of this release, especially if you compare it to Nobody’s listening!, but I don’t think it’s really a step down at all. It’s just a different avenue that’s being explored, an avenue that I believe wishlane handles perfectly.
Severely underrated.
This is such an interesting album, it’s a shame Shemar isn’t way bigger than he is right now. The sound of this project doesn’t really change as it goes on, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s like looking at an art piece from a bunch of different angles. Different interpretations of the same piece, but each one is as valid as the next. Shemar’s voice definitely seals the deal for me though, tying everything together super ... read more
Waaaait, this is too underrated for me π
Guys this is such a fun banger, check it out πΌ
So uh… yeah. That sure was an album I just listened to.
Do I remember most of it?
No not really.
Were some songs ok, or even good?
A couple, sure.
What was the majority though?
Boring slop.
Will I listen to any of the other 2 projects drake dropped?
Never.
In conclusion, I am Iceman π₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Άπ₯Ά
He does it again. At this point I feel like Kenny has his footing when it comes to crafting full, complete projects. No fluff, no boring moments, no dragging, just a body of work that feels cohesive and fully realized. My favorite parts are always gonna be when he leans into rock more, but the trap stuff doesn’t disappoint either. Kenny’s flows are so tight and masterful, every time he raps it just feels so satisfying to listen to. Some songs I wish I got a bit more out of, like ... read more
Didn’t think I’d love this album so much. But uh… yeah. It’s amazing.
So, I knew about WU LYF from some songs on their first album, but I didn’t really connect with them all that much. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but something just didn’t click with me. One day YouTube recommended me Tib St. Tabernacle, and on a whim I decided to give it a listen. And man, it just instantly clicked for me. The passionate vocals, the powerfully groovy ... read more
Jean, Brendan, AND Weyes blood?!?!?!
Yeah, these tracks were destined to all be incredible. My favorite has to be Portrait of my heart tho, it takes the base song and elevates it to insane heights. Might just be cuz I like glazing turnstile, but eh, still awesome.
An album of pure sorrow.
I don’t really know how to put my feelings for this into words. The same part of my brain that lights up for this lights up for Xiu Xiu and Slauson Malone too, and I could never put my feelings into words for them either. I’m gonna try my best, but it’s probably gonna be a mess.
This project feels like a book. An autobiography by Skeletrix on every single emotion and thought that reels through his head while he makes music. All the pain, the ... read more
I’m glad Phantogram is getting some love on TikTok, but they’re still a bit too underrated imo. They really are just peak shit.
This was a really nice listen all around, just fun and breezy to sit through. I like all the genres incorporated here, with easykid doing them justice and giving great performances each time. The best part of this project is definitely his voice imo, it fits so well no matter what avenue he’s taking the sound down. The production is great too, all the beats hit hard and sound super full. As a whole, I’M PART is a great time, and definitely worth a listen.
