Just about every song sounds exactly the same with that recycled ass beat heard every other song.
HOWEVER, I'd be lying if I said this album didn't have me bobbing up and down here and there.
This would be much better as an EP with a lot of the samey weaker songs cut.
IF YOU LOVE ME LET ME GOOOOOOooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOO
Oh look. Another Christian Rock band who has suddenly made their entire personality "muh freedum."
For a change, I'd like to see at least one of them try and make the music part sound good.
I don't get it.
I listened to this album multiple times throughout the week so that maybe it would click for me, but it didn't. I should add that I don't dislike it. Production wise, I think it's great. I found myself enjoying the first 5 tracks and hitting replay on those the most. But overall, I just didn't feel like this was something that interesting. Maybe I was hoping for more with all the high praises it receives.

I haven't been into 5FDP for about a decade now. I've just grown out of them and their sound over time. But when I saw that they remade the hits that I listened to when I was younger, I had to check this out.
This is awful. Just about every song sounds worse. They're all soulless and flat. All the punchiness and edge of the originals were completely stripped away. Something about Ivan's modern vocals just don't fit these classics. I just don't see why anyone would ... read more
I don't know why it took me so long to review this album. I listened to this thing religiously when I was younger. Revisiting it, it hasn't lost a step. In fact, I've come to love it even more. The themes are so damn powerful and the delivery just as strong. It's just impossible for me to pick a favorite song. Even my least favorite, Disenchanted, is a great track.
This album is an experience, and I believe that anyone who's a fan of rock, regardless of sub-genre, ... read more
He turned up the sploink on this one.
This is my counter to the idea that Brostep is nothing more than “blender noises.” Sure, the genre often DOES sound like pure noise for the sake of noise, but the tracks here show actual creativity. They’re more than just random elements slapped together on some FL Studio tracks to sound passable.
These songs may feel a bit dated compared to what Brostep sounds like today, but if this is what dated sounds like, I’ll happily take more of it.
What can I say other than this is culturally inappropriate.
Absolute fire. Probably album of the year for me.
I don't usually listen to Justin, but a friend of mine told me that she enjoyed this album and wanted me to give it a shot.
I don't hate it. I mean there are a few songs that I think are genuinely terrible. But I don't believe the album as a whole is truly offensive. However, it is really fucking boring. The whole thing sounds like it was produced for the sole purpose of being played at JCPenney where people will only passively listen to it.
Not for me.
Maybe it's nostalgia doing some heavy lifting, as I remember listening to this a lot when I was a teen with horrible music tastes. But coming back to this after a decade, I find myself not hating a number of songs on this album. Yeah, it's samey butt rock but I can't help but bob my head here and there.
S.E.X. however is absolutely atrocious.
