Gunna delivers one decent batch of tracks on the final installment of his Drip or Drown series. DS4EVER is bloated, eighteen tracks and over fifty minutes is way too much for any Gunna album. Dawn FM is The Weeknd’s second album to embody eighties synth pop and synthwave aesthetics. Since the release of After Hours in 2020, the Weeknd has refined his version of eighties snythpop. Compared to After Hours, Dawn FM seems more dialed in on the eighties aesthetic having a more consistent style throughout the tracklist relative to After Hours.
