The GREATEST rage album ever and will NEVER be topped.
This is what started it all. When I first heard this in 2020 I was disappointed but by mid 2021 I was playing this daily. Every rage album to come after was built upon this.
Review from 2021: The production, the voice, the flows. Carti decides to take a step away from the baby voice after leaks and drops a more dark evil tape on Christmas. I love everything about this, and this is for sure my favorite Carti drop.

Corey for sure has the best voice in pluggnb and the UG in general. After his R&B album “Safe 2 Say” I’m surprised he didn’t go mainstream. Amazing production on here, and overall a super fun project. I want to highlight This Ain’t R&B as the fast paced and high energy on this track mixed with the vocal stuttering and inflections make this one of the best pluggnb songs ever.
Low 8 (Great)
Fav: This Ain’t R&B
Least: Keep In Mind, Interlude
For reference I’m not the biggest rage fan, but I actually don’t mind the Mr krabs voice on the first 2 tracks here and I think it fits well with the dark production. But the second half of the album really misses for me, I’m glad he is trying to switch it up somewhat from rib but I think it’s time to step away from rage.
Low 6 (Decent)
Fav: Promoting Violence
Least: White Folk
Review from 2023: Intro was great good vibes no drums but that’s fine for the intro still good production. Strings on mistakes are heavenly like the vulnerability on this still a slower vibe but there’s something about his flow that makes his music special. Alones bridge really pulled me back in and didn’t make the song repetitive. Production cadence and high notes were all amazing on the title track. Shine is such a summer artist just makes you feel good. Sample at the end ... read more
Review from 2026: Now this rating is probably mostly nostalgia talking, but Lil Shine’s “Losing Myself” is genuinely one of my favorite albums oat. I’m a huge fan of plugg and all its subgenres and pluggnb is at the top of my list, and in my opinion shine is the best pluggnb artist ever. Been listening to this for 4 years straight.
Review from 2022: Everything about this album is amazing. Every song just makes me feel uplifted no matter how many times I listen to it. ... read more
