Given the hype, this album really underdelivered for me personally. I can't put my finger on what it was exactly, but it just felt off and I couldn't bring myself to enjoy it until the final two tracks (which coincidentally I did find to be terrific). Track 9 - The Defence - is probably my standout track from this whole album, helping to round off and close the album in a sensational manner.
Despite my criticism, this is still a good album, but do I think the hype may have carried it higher than it should have gone? Perhaps. With more listens, Hellfire may still grow on me in the future, but it definitely let me down for a first listen.
