Ultimately, Rosenstock's sound just isn't really for me - the hyperenergetic American punk sound just doesn't land and it just feels grating for the most part, but I can definitely appreciate how it's an album that many will love. I did enjoy the departures from the energetic punk sound however, in particular HEALMODE and DOUBT, the former of which really gave the album a nice change of pace.
It won't be an album I'll return to, but as a first introduction to Rosenstock's music it's definitely given me an appreciation of his sound and talent.
