A mesh of a bunch of random things that works immeasurably well.
A waste of time, honestly. This remix treads no new ground and just kinda isn't very good.
For how good this collab could've been, it's very much a let down, with some pretty boring instrumentation and weak kicks.
A few of these kicks are on a whole nother level, and the instrumentation outside of the kicks is still great, and even if it's nothing too crazy innovative, this track hits pretty hard. Also W for these absolutely insane kickrolls.
A very weird song with some experimental kicks that sadly don't land very well.
Fraw really leans into the hard techno scene for this song, and it works exceptionally well. Complete with crazy kicks and heavy screeches, thiss ong is everything a hard techno track should be, and then some.
Signal the Revolution is back doing what they do best, and not only does this song have some great riffs and drums, but the cover art is actually peak.
A very interesting and fleshed-out post rock song that has a nice melancholic, ethereal vibe.
Thanks @giosnouck for the rec
Not my type of music, but even though it's not, it is still good in my eyes. The drumming is cool and the album keeps a melancholic vibe throughout that helps keep it from being too boring, and even though it's an instrumental album, it still feels emotional. Good job overall.
I'm not the target audience for this at all, but any time someone tells me to listen to their album, I will, so here we are. I Hear A New World is a very polished instrumental hip hop album with some really nice orchestral influences that sounds great overall. Its one flaw is the fact that most instrumental hip hop is pretty samey anyways, so nothing here really stands out to me too much. Still a solid effort by all means. I do have to say though, I'm sure Nightlight and Ekseption ... read more
A very weird conglomeration of a bunch of random things that works weirdly decently.
PLANETARY DEVASTATION is what I assume the result snorting crack cocaine and then try and make electronic music is. It's a completely incomprehensible mess in the best way possible.
A very enigmatic and mysterious album that provokes a lot of interesting feelings and emotions. It's a very cool listen that's not like most other drone/ambient albums I've listened to before. This album is a bit repetitive, even for those genres, but the vibe is great.
A mixed bag of a bunch of techno-adjacent things that sound pretty decent but overall suffer from too simple of instrumentation and sound design as well as nothing crazy or unpredictable. It's good, but could be better.
---Individual ratings---
Ride Ride (2006) - 71/100 - A cool and trippy song that has a cool concept.
Y2K (2005) - 66/100 - I like the concept of this song, but the execution needs work, as it's a little bit undercooked and could use a more fleshed-out drop or ... read more
An insanely heavy song from all artists. This song is a dream come true of mine because BLURREDMOVEMENT and Natte Visstick are some of my favorite artists, and yeah, this was about as good as I expected from a collab between them. This PHOROS guy is also good.
WIRED is a very solid effort at restoring Basement's former glory, with some very notable songs despite the differences from their previous works. For starters, this album is a lot more laid back than any of their previous works, also with a lot more electronic elements too, but WIRED is a great listen regardless that evokes a very 2010's vibe and is a super enjoyable listen from start to end.
The chorus is peak, and it seems that this is fairly well received, so I really don't have much to say about this that other people haven't already said yet.
Not exactly the most riveting of Skillet songs, but a decent cross between their older stuff lyric-wise and newer stuff production-wise.
