A lot, and I mean a LOT of songs here are just so overlooked. Especially Mike's rap-centric tracks like Dedicated. A lot of the demos are also nice switch-ups from the actual songs. Wish the vinyls weren't so expensive.
Mike absolutely cooks with this one. Chester too, especially in And One and Carousel.
The only redeeming quality of this album is Linkin Park. Jay-Z absolutely RUINED literally everything.
Call me crazy, but this is literally my favorite Linkin Park album, and possibly my favorite ever. Just the sheer rawness from a lot of the songs, and the opening and closing tracks are so dang fitting for the album. Don't know why so many people look over it.
Their worst album besides Collision Course (I hate Jay-Z), but not bad. Just has a lot of "meh" tracks. Now, when it does hit, it hits hard. Especially live.
STOP HATING ON THIS ALBUM!!! Sure, it's not "Linkin Park-y", but what does that matter? Decent by Linkin Park standards, Great compared to everything else.
Definitely worse than the previous 3, and I don't understand all of the hype for Waiting for the End, but it has some absolute hits. Not a single bad song, but definitely some subpar as far as Linkin Park goes.
Couldn't get enough of this when it first released. Their Dose series of albums is 100% among the best hardstyle albums of all time.
It's definitely a solid album, but Rebelion has come so far from where they were. I really love how they approached these albums though, and it’s funny how many times Gladiator has been remixed.
I really, really, REALLY hope this isn't actually The Final Dose: I need MORE!
Most of the best songs from this LP were released before the album itself came out.
Do yourself a favor and don't listen to Sonne im August.
Even as someone who isn't fully fluent in German, I can still comprehend the absolute art that this album is.
It’s a shame that people stopped caring about Linkin Park after Meteora; they all missed out on this.
I think that the user rating is only as low as it is because of all of the people whining about how Linkin Park shouldn't've tried to replace Chester. Chester is still better than Emily will ever be, but she is an awesome replacement and I love that we're getting more rock in the mainstream media. Now, the main reason that it's only a 99 is because I think they definitely lost some of their fire with Chester, but Emily is an adequate replacement.
How do you make a hardstyle album with no bad songs? You can‘t. Besides these guys apparently.
So much variation, yet so good together. Chester and Mike carry it so far.
It‘s like if Rhythm of Youth was made 4 decades later; basically the same thing, but with different mixing and instruments. Very good.
I don’t understand why but I really like this album and think it‘s just really experimental and unique sound-design wise.
