album sounds like it's a castle made of crystal so frail that tapping it would cause the whole structure to be compromised and that is, make no mistake, a double edged sword. as sound design this album is nothing short of fantastic, as song it borders on being drab and pointless. still, i felt warm air brushing off my face whilst listening to it.
i have a lot to say about this record as a longtime fan of Jane and venturing, but for now, to quote Dead forever "...the magics all gone". *

Ludic etc, feels like a very fitting name for an EP that feels as oddly free form as this one. These little song structure choices throughout the whole thing are subtle but they make everything blend together in a positive way where it feels like I'm along for the ride.

This is the first time I've listened to Jane and felt like her production, lyrics and vocals are being limited by a genre as opposed to working in spite of it. Could just be that I've not listened to enough Rage to compare but as it stands this is the most eh I've felt on something she's made since Teen Week.
A Skin-Walker disguised as a human got trapped in a room and was forced to create music. But it couldn't feel, only hear. i think these glitch foleys might be the best thing ever actually*
short but sweet! Nullmatrix constantly shifts in phase between beautiful ambience and raucous distortion, and when they transition through one another we get splotches of black ink over a white page.
