Shout out to my girlfriend for getting so hyped about Phoebe Bridgers going on tour that it was mandatory for me to listen to this
God did i hate the short tracks. To me they just were not needed, and that also goes for the reprise of We Have Heaven at the end of Heart of the Sunrise. Speaking of which, those 3 long tracks were brilliant, my favorite of which being South Side of the Sky. Even the 3 minute songs were great. Mood for a Day is a nice, little guitar piece, and the duology of Long Distance Runaround and The Fish was great too. I think this was a great album held back by some unneeded runtime. Very good stuff ... read more
Idk why people don't like this one as much, i think its great
i think i originally way overreacted to julian's very strong autotune. all in all it truly isn't that bad. the lyrics are very good and the music has a nice groove to it. definitely not their best so as long as the rest of reality awaits isn't exactly like this we should be fine. if anything, it'll still be good but it just won't be their best.
very uninspired, to the point where i regret losing sleep to stay up and listen to it. it's fine but i was hoping for something better.
Okay I get that 12 bar blues is a staple and can't change much but Pride and Joy and I'm Cryin' are the exact same song.
beautiful vocals and pretty damn catchy
house isn't really my thing tho so i really hope i come around on whatever else this album is gonna showcase

At first I was unimpressed with a few songs. No idea what I was on about though because this shit FUCKS.
Holy mother of falloff. This is the same guy that made Let It Happen, yet the only SLIGHTLY reminiscent aspect of this compared to his previous albums is his voice. Loser is my favorite song on the album and it, very coincidentally, is the only song that isn't EDM. Kevin Parker needs to go back to his roots as soon as physically possible. I would say he needs to put the mic down, but I don't want this to be his last mark on the music world. I am beyond let down.
Every time I thought it couldn't get worse, it did. If you're gonna be a greedy environment-killing billionaire bitch, at least make decent music.
Twin Size Mattress was the first song I heard from The Front Bottoms. I figured the whole album could be just as good, and it was the same as Twin Size Mattress for the most part. I mean that as an insult. Every damn song on this album sounds the same. Twin Sized Mattress and Au Revoir (Adios) are the two songs I actually enjoyed, while the rest of the album blended together in an amalgamation of 6/10s, then 5/10s. I was just bored. Also can they teach the drummer some new beats?
