I think there were a handful of standout tracks. Production is pretty awesome too and I would say all the tracks feel polished enough. The vocals are pretty low in the mix and even if they weren’t supposed to be the focus, I genuinely think all of the tracks would have been elevated if I could understand more of what she’s saying. This EP wastes no time. It’s succinct and sharp and I enjoyed each track for its own reason. Switching Hands is an absolute standout and will be going on my usual rotation. I had been a fan of Abby Sage in the past but definitely had some interest dwindle after a while. Hypnagogic is a great way to describe this. It kind of immersed me in this comfortable zoned out mood yet also immersed. It’s like being jetlagged in the middle of the day with the sun out, so you go to your made bed in your hotel room and have a lovely yet surreal somewhere between half awake and deep in a dream. She’s been on my radar for a little bit now, and after hearing this definitely even more so. There is essentially no filler, I felt bored at no point and by the time I was halfway through the second last track, I was so into it. Set me free is absolutely my standout. Let this be our sign to keep a close eye on her releases.
