Tiffany Day - HALO
75

Halo is a breakout, a break-in.
You can tell tiffany had an epiphany while creating this project. Listening to her old music, you can tell she had this exact album inside of her. But could she had pushed this even forward?
Most of the songs, are sweet, she herself has mastered a certain formula that all of this songs follow, inventive production that stays untouched throughout the LP. Now, I have to turn some part of this into complains, its stiff.
Although some of this is quite pail, her ... read more

glaive - Y'all
71

Sometimes it can get quite overwhelming or switch over to being underwhelming just like that. Few choices here and there that don't sit righr with me, like the reggueton- percussion accompany that sits on Nouveau Riche. Apart from that its a solid record that since hasis nothing particularly interesting going on in the vocals, is heavy reliant on production, which is something that is fine by me.

Lily Allen - West End Girl
57

Short first listen review:
Well this is odd, some execution on this LP feels odd, like maybe it was done in under 10 days... to my surprise it was exactly a reflection of this time spam. Production is enough to be decent, however not enough to be great.
In the other hand, the lyrical content on this project is absurdly good. A fully fleshed out story teller that serves as a objective guide through the relation, no anger seen through the songs, just a meditation on a shitty behaviors coming from ... read more

Taylor Swift - Midnights
83

There is always something to seek on Midnights by Taylor swift. I've dealing with the pain and struggle of truly hating her newest record, October 3rd was really hard on me, suddenly I didn't know how to feel about her music that once drove me towards where I am.
The vision behind this record is clear, night shimmers that translated into synthy landscapes and passed and currents affairs. Filled with subtleties, the music shines masterfully. Jack's production here is one of his ... read more

刘柏辛 [Lexie Liu] - TEENAGE RAMBLE
47

This is myy introduction to the singer named Lexie Liu and to be honesto I dont feel that impressed by this EP. It doesn't shrines for being cohesivex that's for sure, by this I mean that she showcases talent, for sure, but ultimately it's all watered down by melodic choices that feels very dumb cathartic pop imagin dragon-like or more like a monothematic KKB.
When things take a turn for the better are around the half point, in Deeper & Deeper production is on point, it ... read more

After - After EP 2
75

They are unbelieavable ahead of this. Although they seem to be a throwback effort, they are currently on the path of perfecting said sound. Unbelievable EP texturized upon perfection. Only thing that plays against them and this EP is that its too short to grasp the mind upon traveling back time to the origin of the sound. Often leaving the listener baffled and wanting more from this little tracklist.

After watching a few episodes of how the promissing mixed group KATSEYE came to be I ultimately glad that Adela didn't make it, and this EP showcases the reasons why.
This project borrows from the current wave of electronic music but with a twist. In comparison with a 2022 Slayyyter, Adela has a more defiant direction, with no rocks to stumble apon her walk towards her self as an artist. But in this path, we can't help but to take from the wrong people; sometimes making it feel like ... read more

Magdalena Bay - Human Happens / Paint Me a Picture
94

Ummm i'd like to understand what is going on??? Is this a rollout, i mean ofcourse but are we on an album, mini mix or just stand alone singles? Need a answere asap.

both songs are amazing. Hard to the ear, quite literally the opposite to the preview released singles. Paint me a picture sounds closer to imaginal disk and i love thatt. A little messy and over the place but good otherwise. Man i really love them.

Not for Radio - Melt
73

Short review: María is really up there for me, in terms of atmosphere, vocals and musical hability to show us herself via tracks is for the most part promising. I guess for this project I have the same issues with it as everybody else. This is an album that pinpoints towards vibes, as María herself has repedly mentioned "the place where you can listen to this album" than actually going in deep into thematics and others of the sort. The end project feels a bit redundant ... read more

Lovejoy - One Simple Trick
59

First off, I'm starting a personal goal of mine that consists of reviewing albums that aligns with the releases of every week. I say this to convey that I am in the dark as to what the accusations to the lead singer (I can suppose) are, which are evident in other reviews.
Sure, the music is pretty as a whole, melodies are quite, well, melodic, the tempo is upbeat enough to dance without control but also keeping in mind past mistakes and regrets. Everything falls into place, one could say. ... read more

Rochelle Jordan - Through The Wall
76

Some people may find a problem with this LP. Fore sure, sometimes it can feel a little bit too overdone or rather repetitive, but this for sure an attempt at a never/ending/party, where elements are in constant change, alteration, evolution, and the aftermath is this round feeling of an album that never fails to go on biulding itself up. Her, aswell seems to be stuck in space with this sound and her voice seems to know it, soft, centric, focused but sometimes boring: she came to dance and to ... read more

Candelabro - Deseo, Carne y Voluntad
94

Big Thief - Double Infinity
83

Short review: This is magic on earth.
This is my first approach to what "Big thief" is as a whole, what their vision collided together is and what do they stand for. The answere to that is quite simple, they understand what the human experience is, in their words, you stumble with the idea of time enough to one day grow.
Musically, Adrianne, wich never fails to amaze me, shines with her matured voice. Drums and bass are onpoint aswell.

Taylor Swift - The Life of a Showgirl
32

The lights flicker till they die, the coirtain begin to slowly close as taylor walks her way out of stage, suddenly we are with her and we get a glimpse as to who she is ¿who is she?
Well, following the advertisement, the promo, album cover, messages and fan fare that were all radicated to the sole aesthetic of a showgirl. And for what's worth. those hopes - of a taylor more contralized in a theme - were the friends we made along the way.
Songwriting was always part of ... read more

Night Tapes - portals//polarities
81

When hearing this LP I can picture my thought, past mistakes and the frightening face of future, that's how dreamy the music can get, which makes me wonder if thats positive or rather not.
All i know is that this is beautiful, quiet trippy-synth work that excels because of the outstanding melodies. Really the only issues I have with this project is her vocal delivery, at times I found them to be odd shaped.

Kilo Kish - Negotiations
60

go girl give us nothing!

Audrey Hobert - Who's the Clown?
66

She definitely knows how to write a song that strikes as a true reflection of her self, but in the process she looses the ability to make it worth it.

Sarah Kinsley - Escaper
75

The soulfull reflection of a girl endures when it comes to love.

Purity Ring - purity ring
70

Purity ring is an electronic duo that hasn't been strong on me by their first listens, ofcourse, Shrines grew inmensely after months of misteriously going back to it. Capturing me by being this ode to nature embodied by big synths.
This new record is a compelling body of work that enjoys more of this softly-intimate-electronic atmosphere. At times can feel underwhelming, and overdone, like it could've been developed into something greatest. Also accompanied by some production choices ... read more

Magdalena Bay - Second Sleep / Star Eyes
91

My first impression was to grieve the loss electro-synth sound that still carried its way to Imaginal Disk, but after losing that thought I actually got to appreciate Second Sleep & Star Eye for what it is. Crazy atmospheric of strings, drums patters and crazy bass lines. How to forget Mica's now perfected vocals. Absolutly crazy work on both of these singles and the new direction they're heading.
