(The following statements are opinions, not facts) YFM was a band I was really fond of back when I started listening to music back in 2022. And Alien is one of the songs I still enjoy quite a bit to this day. Yeah it’s really edgy and kinda corny but I think it works. Puff’s verses while over the top go really hard, his shoutier delivery here works great. And the chorus from benetar works fantastically too. The content about bullying and stuff is cool and the drums go crazy on this ... read more
(The following statements are opinions not facts) Lewis Capaldi is incomprehensible good. His singing just makes him so unique and immaculate. The bare bones piano here makes all the focus land on Capaldi’s singing. And he’s my absolute favorite vocalist of all time. The broken way he sings makes my body shiver in the best way possible. The lyrics about heartbreak aren’t the most in depth or distinct but the way they’re portrayed makes them so powerful. Absolutely ... read more
(The following statements are opinions not facts) I’m not someone who’s a big fan of drill from what I’ve heard but the poppier sound of this song I really enjoy. Liilz’s chorus is super catchy and I think his verse is pretty cool too. ZieZie’s feature sounds pretty nice too. The drums fit over the pianos pretty well and overall it’s just a pretty fun song.
(The following statements are “opinions” not facts) This song has a total of one thing going for it. First off the negatives. The lyrics are mind-numbingly stupid, genuinely one of the least intelligently written songs I’ve heard. The delivery and flow on the verses are an Eminem and Hopsin bastard child and really aren’t all that interesting. And it’s a really awkwardly structured song. But the one thing it has is that I thing the hook is annoyingly catchy. The ... read more
(The following statements are opinions not facts) I enjoy sleep token a lot but what the hell is this. Hey Ya is a pretty fun, goofy song that doesn’t take itself seriously. Sleep Token decided to make it an overly dramatic piano ballad and while I love overdramatic music this is just stupid. The lyrics don’t fit at all and while Vessels singing is pretty good it just doesn’t work. The only reason I could see listening to this over the original is if you haven’t heard ... read more
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) While I am not a Doechii fan myself. Anxiety is a pretty decent song. Doechii’s singing sounds good for the most part and the lyrics I enjoy. Yeah the instrumental is just Somebody That I Used To Know but I feel like she does it justice even if the original song is better. Overall a solid track.
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) This is a really nice pop rap jam. It’s lowkey, pretty and reminiscent of people like Travis Scott and Juice WRLD. It’s got hazy production and great autotune. Overall a great song from Blake
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) Too Hot is the latest single from single from Blake and it's another solid track from him. The beat to this song is absolutely wild, its super watery and loose but its great. Blake's more improved and confident sound on this compared to his albums also sound great. His deliveries are nice and he just provides a nice, messy in the best sounding track.
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) Yung Exile is a quite talented rapper and his debut single ALASKA was a perfect example of that. The instrumental is dirty, rough and hard-hitting. Exile's tone and flow sound great and are reminiscent of similar southern hip hop artists like Denzel Curry or the late XXXTENTACION. Lyrically this song is brutal, druggy and very fitting. It's a solid track to start his career with.
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) Legion is a new(ish) single from underground hip hop artist Yung Exile. I am quite impressed. Clearly taking inspiration from the likes of JPEGMAFIA it has a very intense, almost overwhelming sound to it. Exile has a talent for flowing quite nicely and this track is a great example of that as well. Overall a really solid track.
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) This is one of greatest tracks on the album that its hyping up, Time Stops For Nobody. The instrumental has a really happy, bopable sound to it. Blake's sing-rapping sounds really good here, its pretty diverse and distinct. Lyrically it's covering the same topic Blake normally talks about but it's incredibly charming and I can't dislike it. Overall a great track leading up to an even greater album.
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) While yes the lines can be a little bit on the cob at points this song is undoubtably fun. Cadmium always has pretty solid production in my opinion, I'm not big on electronic music typically but I like Cadmium. Rosendale has an incredible voice, I love how smooth yet emotional it is. And I do mostly enjoy the lyrics. Overall a very solid track.
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) This is one of those double singles so let me talk about each separately. Thick of It, why was this so hated? The beat is pretty solid, the hook is straight up good, the verses have a good flow and bars while not mind-blowing they're memorable. Trippie Redd is decent on it too. Low is pretty good too, even better than Thick of It, KSI's lyrics are stronger, his flows are good and I enjoy the production. Thick of It is a 65 and Low is ... read more
(The following statements are opinions not facts) I mean, they took an already boring, obnoxious song and just made it more boring and obnoxious. I find the little synth thing part of the chorus kinda cool but that's literally all this song has. The rest of it is just a worse version of the original. Even if I don't like the original at least the instrumental is more listenable.
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) God this song is annoying. It's not the worst thing I've heard but a couple of the lyrics, Chappells singing and the instrumental are annoying as hell. Its also not interesting, its just so boring and annoying at the same time. I mean to be fair it is just a perfectly below average pop song but its one thats more annoying then normal.
(The following statements are opinions not facts) Games We Play is slowly becoming one of my favorite bands. If I'm Honest is so moving and a really pretty song. I cannot wait for their next album if it sounds like this. The guitars sound amazing, Emmyn's vocals are even stronger than on their previous album which already had great vocals. This is a great song.
(The following statements are opinions not facts) ElyOtto makes some quite fun music. SugarCrash! is a short, enjoyable song. The chorus is addicting, the verses sound pretty good too. The only issue I have with it is that it is a bit too short, maybe one more chorus would've made it better. But overall a pretty great track.
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) Travis does a pretty solid job on this track. Its got a little bit of the effect of feeling like a leftover from Astroworld but it's not bad. Lyrically I find it uninteresting but the instrumental sounds great and Travis' singing and rapping sounds great. His autotune is also quite good. Overall a decent Travis song.
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) This sure is a AJR track. The instrumental is perfectly okay, sorta like a mid-point between The Click and Living Room. The singing is fine? not as strong as other AJR tracks. The lyrics are incredibly simplistic and aren't nearly as good as AJR's other songs. The spokestep bridge is pretty bad here too, the autotuned baby just sounds bad. Not awful just pretty mid.
(The following statements are opinions, not facts) Yes tuv, please do more of this. Please for the love of god make your next album this incredible folk-rock. The instrumental on this is reminiscent of someone like Alex G but done better in my opinion. tuv's great singing is here in full force with emotion and great lyrics. Im praying that he goes in this direction for his next project.
