The bare bones piano here makes all the focus land on Capaldi’s singing. And he’s my absolute favorite vocalist of all time. The broken way he sings makes my body shiver in the best way possible. (The following statements are opinions not facts) I’m not someone who’s a big fan of drill from what I’ve heard but the poppier sound of this song I really enjoy. Liilz’s chorus is super catchy and I think his verse is pretty cool too. ZieZie’s feature sounds pretty nice too. The drums fit over the pianos pretty well and overall it’s just a pretty fun song.

The lyrics are mind-numbingly stupid, genuinely one of the least intelligently written songs I’ve heard. (The following statements are opinions not facts) I enjoy sleep token a lot but what the hell is this. Hey Ya is a pretty fun, goofy song that doesn’t take itself seriously. Sleep Token decided to make it an overly dramatic piano ballad and while I love overdramatic music this is just stupid.
