This album was not promoted much besides "Mr. God" being released as a single and the introduction to the band using baritone guitars. It had me wanting more. I was so excited for the album
A Pale White Dot is a step down from Djent is Not A Genre but it's still interesting and engaging in it's own way. It dips down in quality when Blackwall and Unlocking show up. Just wasn't my favorite from the album, everything else is fantastic
Unlocking is a 2020 Bo Burnham song
I think we should kill karl
UPDATE: my friend who listened to this with us got me a vinyl of this album
talking about doing drugs and then saying they are sober. whatever bro
Coming from a guitar player stand point, some of the newer trivium (while really good songs) sometimes aren't very fun to play. But this single has both.
If you are unsure who the greatest rhythm guitarist is. I would say to listen to Ascendancy, because Matt Heafy is the greatest.
Ascendancy is one of my favorite albums by the band, even though Matt's cleans are lacking at times. He makes up for it with his screams and the riffs he pumps out that even great guitarists struggle to play WHILE HE WAS 19 AT THE TIME.
This album truly shows how the band is extremely talented the band is even after a rough debut.

It feels like they lost their charm and creativity. It all sounds the same
(Only reviewing "The Thin Grey Line" since I already reviewed the other songs) Huh, I didn't think it was going to happen but they went back to their roots with this single. I really enjoyed this song, it sounds a lot like the songs on the Saga EPS and it's short, it doesn't drag on like their more recent songs. I really hope that the new album is more like this
finding out this was in drop a# would've put this at 120 for me but aoty won't let me go that high. this gave me goosebumps
