I miss when albums felt like an experience instead of a collection of songs. Dummy has a very defined dark and consistent sound throughout every single track, adding to the general atmosphere. What a great debut work
Feels like a proper comeback that marks the start of a new era. The fact that Emily’s voice comes almost halfway through the song adds a lot to the surprise factor. To put it simply, it’s that 2010s LP sound with a very close resemblance to their THP era, but different enough to sound refreshing
If I had to introduce The Voidz to a friend this LP would be my last recommendation. Feels unfinished in some parts, specially during All the Same. Vocals sound unnecessarily artificial. It has its moments nonetheless, and it’s worth giving it a listen if you’ve followed the band’s career. WWtToTBE and Prophecy of the Dragon are both bangers 🔥
